Re: If Sarries hadnt been relegated ?

I thought the RFU had said no promotion and relegation, with the exception of where clubs had received punishments for rule breaches. Hence Sarries down, Falcons up, and Yorkshire down, Richmond up. So if we’d been bottom, no change.

Re: Club World Cup

Dont we already have domestic games at HQ anyway? And its just taking the place of RCC. Might be a better idea to make it 16 teams and the SR season isn't effected as much but ways around it. I expect most of the people writing it off are the test cricket fans who didnt fancy 20/20. Probably not th...

Re: Club World Cup

Terrible, terrible idea. Just another desperate attempt by SH nations to access NH money. No travelling fans, no prime time broadcasts for away games (so TV deal won't be great).

Really, really dumb idea thought up by the same idiots who have made a dog's breakfast of Super Rugby.

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

Is creating jobs for members of society not a contribution, even though you may feel they personally benefit too much from it? It is, but if you’ve made £450million off the back of other people’s labour, a wee bit of humanity in the way you treat your staff in tougher times isn’t an unreasonable th...

Re: Utter Rubbish - Manus Red Card v Wales

Manu needs to change his tackle technique, he has been tackling leading with his shoulder for years, he is always looking for the big hit and in today’s game he will get more yellow/red cards in games if he doesn’t change. One wonders if Owen Farrell had made the same tackle as Manu, would the post...

Re: Will Marler get jail time?

The days when all sorts of stuff went on are still going on, and self-policing (from the other side or even your own) still happens. Since the upper echelons of the game seem to be detaching as some form of independent entertainment and cash cow for hedge funds, I suppose hands can be thrown up and...

Re: England v Wales

Manu's was a red all day long under the current guidelines - first point of contact was the head and with force. Mind you so was Parkes' on Manu that got nothing because he bounced up and play carried on after just the penalty. Ken Owens' would probably have been a yellow had England not scored as ...

Re: Will Marler get jail time?

Low end for grasping the genitals is 12 weeks. He'll cop a ban, and he should. I don't get the high horses on either side - it's perfectly possible to find it funny at the time but also unacceptable. I'd find it funny if Owen Farrell was held upside down by the ankles and spanked but it shouldn't ha...

Re: England v Wales

Guys, that was a clear red. He went into it with no intention to wrap arms, there was no sudden or unexpected downward movement (he was being tackled and going down long before Manu arrived and it was a consistent downward movement), he led with the shoulder and connected with the head / neck area. ...

Bottom line, England without Billy V always struggle. Odd that so much centres around him given the resources available.

Hastings can be exactly the same. He's had some very memorable brain farts.
