Cunning Plan?

Just a thought generated by various rumours that are flying around about Johnno's situation with England. One of these is that if he takes up the post then one of the first things that he will do is invite Sean Edwards to be (a) coach. What a cunning plan! This way he can benefit both England and Ti...

Piecing together some of the rumours/ guesses/ tips/ info/ etc that are quoted above, IF Luke Abraham has another year left on his contract AND Tigers are letting him go to Sale (which I would not wish to see, because I rate Luke very highly!) THEN Tigers are NOT going to have made this decision UNL...

I was wondering if there is any chance that Tigers might look to recruit Will Skinner back into the fold after his success at Quins. I for one was very sorry to see him leave - squeezed out by financial cap I believe - and always saw him as a natural successor to Neil Back. I note that Quins have ju...

Just to say that it is 11.45am and the tickets ARE on sale! I've just bought a couple for the Middle Tier East Stand. If lots of Tigers supporters get in quick we should all be together!

MORE EDF FINAL TICKETS

I have just spoken to RFU Ticket Office and they have advised me that a new batch of EDF Final Tickets is being downloaded to Ticketmaster, and these will become available for purchase by (approx) 10.30am today (Tuesday 25th March). Ticketmaster have been saying that they are 'sold out', but this ne...

Manchester is a big place and it's mainly obsessed with football, so things can be difficult. If you are on the South side then I recommend trying the Griffin on Didsbury Road, Heaton Mersey, or the Armoury in Shaw Heath, Stockport - right near the Sale ground. Both are excellent pubs to frequent, w...

I also go for the slimmed down 16 team HC, as suggested by many. The benefit of this is that it will make the Challenge Cup a far better competition -at the moment it is simply about how many English teams will get through to the quarter finals, with possibly 1 or 2 French teams. To have additional ...

Sheriden is playing for the Barbarians.
I spotted this when the Barbars' team was announced and thought it strange if Sale is placing any priority on the EDF.

I believe that the answer should not be "short-termism" due to the presence of Argentinian players in Europe and the fact that they are currently going through a good spell. Argentina - for those of you who are geography anoraks - is in the Southern hemisphere and a very long way from Euro...

Personally I preferred the English Knock-out Cup, when the twelve Premiership teams would enter at the "Last 16" stage, along with the surviving four teams from outside the Premiership. This meant that the most games any one Premiership team would play was four (if they reached the Final)....

Premiership Fixtures to Allow for International Call-ups

A thought that has been in my mind for a long time is that the Premiership fixtures should be weighted for when (periods of) major International fixtures take place, e.g. World Cup, 6 Nations, Autumn fixtures. This is along the lines that the clubs with the most International calls on their players ...

I think that the one call that was 100% spot on was the sin-binning of McAllister. Time and again you see the All Blacks taking opponents out off the ball and getting away with it. It's either in their make-up or they train to do it. I recall that they did this in the first game against the Italians...

Can someone confirm for definite that Pablo Feijoo has signed for Tigers. If he has then why is he not in the squad photos?
I recall the string that was on this forum some while ago, but it has all seemed to go very cold.
Advice welcomed! :smt017

I am worried that Premier League rugby players are getting too pampered! Leon states that "and we had to get food from a service station". Shock! Horror! What does he think we supporters do when we follow our team!?

Re replacement of Shane Jennings. I think that what has been said about Ben Herring suggests that Tigers have done well (Neil Back is simply the BEST!). But more importantly I think that Luke Abrahams is an excellent player and the time is ripe to give him his chance, as he will be 24 years old late...
