Re: Tigers v Bayonne - European games suspended

Prem rugby have confirmed there will be a two week break to allow players a ‘test’.

They haven’t got the balls or brains to do anything creative and all they’re doing is piling the fixture list up come May/ June.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

TRP reports that Bonilla had impressed so much we are looking to extent his contract which will mean Zach Henry is off. Hmm.... Thought it sounded like a load of tosh when I read it. Henry’s got a lot of promise, seen nothing of Bonilla yet so seems like a story manufactured to fill some space. Als...

Re: Tigers v Bayonne

Surprised that it hasnt been officially pulled already.

Would make sense to pull some rounds forward as Pat Lamb suggested at the weekend or simply carry on the tournament without the French clubs.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

I would guess at around £1M between the 3 of them My guess is £550,000 - Manu £300,000 - May £250,000 - Veainu Replacements maybe £230,000 - Moroni £200,000 - Nadolo £150,000 - Murimurivalu Practically half the price, if you're right! I suppose it helps hugely when a group of young players break th...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Back 3, we're fine unless we lose players but with Steward, Nadolo, Van Wyk, Murimurivalu, Porter, Potter, Williams, Simmons, Aspland Robinson, Worth & Olowafela we don't need more atm. It's amazing that not very long ago Worth and Olowofela were 2nd choice in their positions. Our strength in t...

I actually meant to say, with the way the league looks this year I'll happily take any win even if its a covid one.

Re: Saints v Tigers - 09th January 2021 - cancelled due to COVID

Saracens might fancy a game? Sure Ealing wouldn't mind a rumble as well. Lets be fair who has the money to compete next season.. Saracens and Ealing. Expand the league to 14 and give the clubs in the championship 4 seasons to build a model ready to apply for expansion. It works in a number of leagu...

Re: Boxing Day vs Newcastle

Or think of this way, who ever contracted covid in the club is now a walking legend. Before you’d have to get a red card the week before which would cost a fortune in fines but now everyone gets Xmas off! :smt023

Re: Ringfencing almost upon us ?

I think this is the ideal situation but unfortunately I don’t think there’s enough money in the game to sustain two leagues. EXACTLY! This is what people refuse to acknowledge. Instead we are stuck (currently) where we financially penalise on of the (just about financially viable) teams hugely in t...

At some point the premise of competitions becomes pointless surely?
Imagine if they say it would be unfair to relegate anyone due to covid but promoted Saracens and Ealing before closing the door :smt002 :smt002

Re: Premiership rejects BT TV offer

Well if I can save about £280 a year on a channel that I only use for rugby currently then I will be very happy. I already use Amazon Prime so the saving will be more. That's basically pays for my Season ticket. BT pays 40m for Prem rugby and charge punters £25 per month. Amazon pays the same and c...

Re: Premiership rejects BT TV offer

Darren Childs is an absolute waste of space in the current environment. He tried to play hard ball with BT hoping Sky would create a rugby only channel like they have with Golf, Premier League and F1 however they decided it wasn't commercially viable. BT have come back to the table and he's holding ...

It’s not a new thing, even when we were winning league titles our fan base has always had the ability to find negativity amongst joy!
