Re: Hope for Tigers Members without tickets

Thank GOD for that, and thank GOD for quick post!! I managed to source 4 tickets on the website yesterday after half an hour of trying. This morning my wife opened the envelope addressed to me, which contained one ticket. I contacted the ticket office, and the lady who I spoke to described this as a...

Re: Anyone got through on the phones yet?

We've just got 4 tickets. Hit too many redials to recall, switched from the lady to the man, and got nowhere. At the same time, continually re-opening the ticket website. :smt024 Finally to my disbelief, I got in. WHAT DO I DO NOW?! I was like a bunny in the headlights, when there like a shining bea...

Leinster website - HC

Now that we have confirmation of the procedure for obtaining tickets for ourselves, I've taken a look at the Leinster website, which quotes the following... "Leinster Rugby are delighted to announce that 4,000 tickets for the Heineken Cup Final will be available to purchase by our Season Ticket...

Re: Are some travelling Tigers supporters the biggest whingers?

We couldn't believe it when we visited Bath earlier this season. My 2 year old son was standing on my knees to see the game, and the chap behind me in wax jacket and deerstalker hat with Tigers scarf, of that certain age started whingeing loudly about my son standing up on my lap and obstructing his...

Salary Cap

OK, so the suggestion is to reduce the SC to £3.5m from next season so as to help loss making clubs... Presumably this is going to cause havoc with our squad, recently strengthened to take advantage of the newly increased cap!!!

What do others think about this?

Good old Johnno, weighing in with his authority and questioning this potential selection. If Dayglo doesn't play a full 80 minutes as a rule, even though he can make a difference as cover for Wasps (as clearly he does), that does not translate to the International stage now. There's too much potenti...

We can't do anything about proper ground redevelopment until the situation with the RFU is sorted out. Best case scenario, the clubs come out top and Tigers retain their rightful place as the finest rugby club in the world. Worst case scenario, some hare brained plan gets taken up by the RFU resulti...

Mark Taylor took his meals in my hall (he was in the non catered one next door) at uni - Southampton, and he did some of the same courses as me. I took a year abroad during my degree, and I nearly fell over when in my final year I was watching England v Wales and that same Mark Taylor was playing ce...

The reason I can tell for no announcement being made about booing is that the game was administered by ERC rather than Tigers. At Welford Road, if there's noise during kicks, there will either be a "SHHH" or some announcement that fans are reminded that we respect the kickers of both teams...

Why Pink?

OK, this has puzzled me for a while, and I thought it warranted a post... Why do Stade Francais play in pink? Does pink not have the connotations in France as it does here? If it does, do they think that to wear pink on a rugby pitch, it shows the ultimate symbol of ironic testosterone fuelled aggre...

Fair enough that Vickery, Farrell & Wilkinson are injured, and I don't necessarily have a problem with Catt captaining the team, although I'd rather see Corry captain, but Corry in the second row? That is one of the daftest selections I have ever seen. Is Ashton mad?

Having been the inspiration on field to England's glory, and having liaised with England's management (including Andy Robinson as forwards coach) I think MJ is ideally qualified to appraise the situation. What he is NOT yet qualified to do is to coach and manage at international level, not even havi...
