Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries
Purely from the fans' perspective, watching a match in a stadium with 10,000 - 86,000 others isn't a real problem - yet. Much more dangerous is watching a televised game in a pub - and that might well be the first thing to go. Yes, I read an article along the lines that groups of fans watching tele...

Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries
Also it's not just about money. It only takes one player to report symptoms shortly after a match and then the other 45 have to self-isolate or be quarantined. Extend that scenario to two or three other players in different matches and the fixture list will shudder to a halt. I'm not someone who is ...

Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries
Money, in a word. I don't think rugby matches played in empty stadia would generate enough money to justify the risk. Risk being the risk of 46 players plus officials coming into close bodily contact.

Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries
I agree about ring fencing, I'm totally against it but this year - it seems to me - that not only will there be no competition at the bottom of the league to avoid relegation, there will also be no competition at the top. It seems near certain to me that the season will have to be curtailed and mayb...

Re: May, Kalamafoni and McPhillps extended injuries
Under normal circumstances the injury/ suspended list would make desperate reading for Tigers' fans but these are not normal circumstances as it seems to me the chances of the Gallagher Premier League reaching a conclusion this year are vanishingly small. We know who will be relegated but the winner...

:smt050 You've asked three different questions there, strawclearer. The "best" in my opinion (although I'm Loughborough born and bred I've lived in suburban London for 40+ years and am increasingly allergic to long queues and overcrowded trains) is slightly unorthodox. Take Piccadilly line...

Re: England v Wales
The expression of innocence on Joe Marler's face and AWJ's apparent indifference in an otherwise red-blooded match was a moment of true comedy. On the subject of Manu's red, the process seemed to me to be driven by the South African TMO's almost spoken desire for a full red. Harsh and unfair decisio...

Re: Sarries vs Leicester - Teams Up
Yes but the relative risk does need to be contextualised, after all there have been more Covid19 confirmed cases in UK than in HK.

- and, more importantly..... What's the best / easiest / quickest way of getting from St Pancras to the ground? In the past, I've always gone down by coach rather than train so - any advice much appreciated! You've asked three different questions there, strawclearer. The "best" in my opin...

Re: Dai on his way!
My guess is that he's exhausted and needs a break. I have always liked Dai Young: his honesty and the way he wears his heart on his sleeve. With all the uncertainty about the future at Wasps, the financial position and the throughput of "star" players, it wouldn't be surprising if, after 9...

Re: It just gets worse for Saracens
I think I agree. If Saracens had won the match comfortably say 27 - 3, you could argue that the brief appearance of an ineligible replacement did not materially affect the result. In fact the match was a nailbiter that Saracens won by the narrowest of margins (27-24) and therefore -even if it was a ...

Re: Scotland V England
I guess the answer to the above question is that Eddy picks the most talented players, The guys who in his opinion are the most talented, most driven and bring most to the team and then decides how to fit them into the team. I've always been a bit suspicious of this English idea that a rugby player ...
