Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Before the Wales v France match next Sunday, there are rumours that Thomas Ramos will move to fly half and Stade Français full back Léo Barré will make his début. Tigers' supporters will remember Barré's try in the Champions' Cup pool fixture in December.

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Jonathan Danty has been handed a five-week ban following his red card during France's game against Italy and will miss the rest of the 6Nations, so Fabien Galthié will have to find a new outside half and a centre in his squad for the away match in Cardiff on March 10th and the home match in Lyon aga...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Matthieu Jalibert will play no more part in the 6Nations, which could be a blessing in disguise. Who will replace him? I'd go with Racing's Antoine Gibert and select clubmate Nolan Le Garrec at scrum half. Maxim Lucu has been a disappointment at scrum half. His club form with Bordeaux/Bègles has be...

We can’t understand how a team who were one of the favourites for the World Cup can fall off a cliff like that.
Du Pont factor maybe
Yes, and Romain Ntamack too.

Re: French rugby 2023/24

Here's an update after round 16 of the Top14 (apologies, but I missed round 15) First of all, watch this great try by Stade Français winger Peniasi Dakuwaqa against Racing: https://sportingnews.com/ar/rugby/news/watch-peniasi-dakuwaqa-scores-greatest-try-ever-top-14-league/4301295842fbba99e142ac4a M...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

If Borthwick gets sacked after this 6N, then English rugby has no one to blame but itself. It's like we want our teams to fail. Never happier than when shouting "sack the boss", as if that is the perpetual solution to something. He (or, more accurately, his team) won 9 out of the last 10 ...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Jeeez, that was an embarrassing and inept England performance. Who was there for on field leadership and to shake up the team at half time when the writing was clearly on the wall? Should George be captain ? I remain convinced that the balance of the back row is completely wrong. Earl, a fine playe...

Re: England A v Portugal - MWWR - 25th February 2024

The Portugal A side is a very young team significantly younger and weaker than England. Not one of their 23 was in their world cup squad. ..which makes me question the value of such a match. I’m all for the A team principle but to properly assess up and coming players, the opposition must be of a s...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

I wonder if the two sides will be close to full strength? Do you think McKellar and Skivington have a chat and get a gentleman’s agreement on team selection? For example, have 2 or 3 second/third choice players in each team? Anyway, with the Slater trophy, or whatever it’s called, the match will hop...
