Re: Castro confirms Tigers departure
Six years seems to be a pretty good retention period for a top player Bill in the modern game.

Re: Castro confirms Tigers departure
I can confirm from personal conversations with Dan, Horacio and Sams' Mum that in those three cases there was significant acrimony. And I could confirm the exact reverse from my personal conversations with those people and others. My claim is exactly as useful in argument as yours Bill, with respec...

Re: Castro confirms Tigers departure
Moody was broken and retired after 15 games for Bath Vesty was our third choice and left for game time Hipkiss was our second choice and left for game time Agulla was let go because of his unavailability vs his cost. Of your list Castro is the first who is leaving "because of Cockers", but...

Re: Andy Saull
Thing is playing rugby at the highest level is about achieving results, not necessarily about personal fulfilment and enjoyment. Some other Saracens players can clearly cut loose when they get the opportunity, but recognise that the team tactic is the winningest one. If Saul think he's left the choi...

Is Bowden a kicker ? Evidence to the contrary this season I'm afraid. Point taken though.

Re: Farrell
In rugby today public and media opinion seems only loosely related to facts. You know RC a poor DOR despite best record in the prem by a mile, Ford a genius despite playing less than five good games for us, and having presided over Tigers' worst ever kickings...Sarries an exciting new development in...

Re: Will the next month determine Cockerill's fate?
Offer replacements for RC that have proven to be consistently more successful given:
* The premiership salary cap
* The loss of up to 14 players to international call up for up to 1/3 of the season.
And I will support their recruitment.

Re: Will the next month determine Cockerill's fate?
In my day job I offer advice to companies in trouble so that they may succeed. I find it touching that so many people seem to imbue the DOR role with Gandalf-like skills and powers ! Every machine or system is perfectly calibrated to achieve the results it gets. The assumption that RC is the only pa...

Re: Has the bubble burst.......................
I think teams have found Quins out. Aggressive defence disarms Quins formula that has worked for them for almost two seasons IMO. Some days you have to stick the ball up your jumper and play a different game. Quins can't do that. COS and Quins are good enough to add another string to their bow very ...

What would an "English biased" commentator have found to say about England yesterday ? Farrells haircut was smart ? Shirts were nice and white ? :D

Re: Stuart Lancaster...................is he suitable??
Any player needs to be given the best chance to perform, and that means being played in their best position, and with a clear gameplan. England had neither yesterday. Lancaster decided who, where and how yesteday, and in almost every case he was very wrong. He will no doubt learn from this. Quickly ...

Re: Tigers vs. Saracens
No problem if you're happy for Tigers to be the third best team in England. Bronze medalists. Also rans. There's no disgrace in losing by 5 points to Saracens and 4 points to Quins over an international period, still plenty to play for.

I hope MY will not be just a wasted investment. He will absolutely thrive given lots of first team games wherever he goes IMO.

Re: Martin Castrogiovanni signs for Toulon
I don't see how playing more is guaranteed with Toulon's front row options.
