Re: Montpellier’s Form - Challenge Cup Final chat
1pt down, 10mins to go, plenty of possession and decent territory... what was the plan to win the game? Kick. Kick. Kick. If we're to challenge for and win trophies again we have to be more proactive. Not wait for a mistake. Now the foundations are there, that's the next challenge for Borthwick. An...

Re: TMO vs. Quins
The Genge yellow should never have been yellow. The quins player was already off his feet laying on top of the ruck and had his hands on the ground before Genge arrived so was commiting an offence that should have been a penalty to tigers. You hit the nail on the head in my opinion. The problems ar...

Re: TMO vs. Quins
Beyond the occasions that you mention what else did the TMO intervene for? I thought he intervened for the Porter offside from the kick out of our 22, but it may have been an Assistant Ref. I thought he intervened for the forward pass from wigglesworth to Scott as well. Thought that one was particu...

Re: TMO vs. Quins
It felt like the TMO was intervening in lots of decisions yesterday. It's difficult to know whether it's the TMO or a touch judge you're hearing in the audio, but I'm familiar enough with Wayne Barnes' voice to know it wasn't him I was hearing repeatedly. Did anyone else notice that? The laws of th...

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
:smt017 So, you say there are players who consistently don't show up but can't tell us who they are? I'm damned glad SB is in charge and not you! I'm also glad SB is in charge and not me or you. I'd rather try and share a bowl with Rottweiler than try and have a sensible debate with you or Scott. I...

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
Who are these players who consistently don’t show up anyway? Don’t bottle it! It’s worth a debate I’d say I'm not able to enlighten you. Whether you can enjoy watching a game would be more worthy of a debate. :smt017 So, you say there are players who consistently don't show up but can't tell us who...

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
Happy with the two missed forward passes/offloads that led to two of their trys then? Foley like Ridley the night before was awful, whole thing needs looking at again end of season. The ref is in charge not the TMO! I'm happy, Leicester got a BP win. I could understand having a bit of a whinge had L...

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
The whinging about the officials on this topic is an embarrassment. I didn't see a lot wrong from the officials. Leicester had a good first half and an awful second half. Certain players are consistently below the level of intensity required. Nadolo and Genge are very important players. I can under...

Re: Itoje article
A pal of mine was at Forest academy many years ago, best young midfielder in the entire set up, at the end of the season bizarrely he was dropped, then at the start of the next season a new midfielder turned up, the Managers son. It's why England are mostly second best. Wow incredible! If he was th...

Re: Itoje article
Sports systems are mostly a reflection of what goes on in society. It ain't what you know it's who you know. I mean come on do you really think Mako got selected to start the final on scrummaging ability. For those unconnected the best advice is to get to know the connected quickly and be prepared t...

Re: Itoje article
There's a case for both types of school, there are a lot of kids at Private schools who do get overlooked, similarly to state, but its still my view that its the best players that get selected, we cant always be right though, but it does get up my noise when folks are always quoting because its fam...

Re: QUINS (H) - ROUND 19 - 15th May 2021
I reckon Mike Brown covers a lot of the stuff that Smith doesn't do so well and it'll be interesting to see how it goes next season when Brown moves to Newcastle.
Quins will need a good defensive reader to replace Brown.

Re: Premiership Week 18
Quins were fortunate, the officials missed a head shot on Taylor at a ruck in the first half when their communications with the TMO seemed to be down. Maybe a citing and another suspension to come then? :smt017 :smt018 Maybe, it took them a long time to get word on and Taylor off for an HIA.
