Re: A comparison

What the comparison shows is inconsistency. Last season the group of players we had showed that they could compete with teams like Bath, but not consistently. One week we'd lose 40-odd to nothing, the next we'd look like a decent team. Looks like very little has changed. That, is the mark of an ave...

Re: Eleventh in the Premiership...and rising!

A question, and hopefully a valid one: If we lose to Gloucester, what happens? MoC says “Now we’ve got another home game and another opportunity to fix those the wrongs.” But what if those "wrongs" can't be righted? Does he continue? Board were quick to ditch Cockers when it didn't go rig...

McGuigan and Youngs injured?
Does Bateman still do it to the level required?
Did Thacker ever?
So where is Baumann, let's see him!

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester

1. Genge - Strong Set-piece and outstanding in the loose -slowly becoming our best player 2. Bateman -Get him back at Hooker and dominate the set-piece. Id have Mcguigan here if fit. 3. Cole -Rock 4. Williams -Much needed power 5. Barrow -Enforcer, time to step up. 6. Kalamafoni - Meat in the back ...

Re: A comparison

Good observation, I think we definitely have the players, but something is lacking at the moment. Still could do with strengthening at lock and maybe a fullback with a better tactical kicking and defensive game than Veainu! If you look at Sarries, they have 5 international locks and none of ours ma...

Re: Eleventh in the Premiership...and rising!

It's not a small tight five either,it's more a case of coaching and form imo. Constantly losing lineout ball is a massive problem and needs to be stamped out immediately! The yardage made by the tight five bar Genge is pathetic too. Big changes needed this week! It's not a big tight five. How hard ...

Re: Eleventh in the Premiership...and rising!

Please explain more BFG I'm curious as to what you mean. Off the top of my head that is 7 of the starting pack that turned it around including the same tight 5. One game that springs to mind is Sarries at WR where we really took their scrum to pieces and should've pushed it home and took another sc...

Re: Eleventh in the Premiership...and rising!

The signs aren't good. The balance is all wrong, it's been very slowly creeping off balance up front for a couple or three years IMO. Folk on here will know my views, a simple lesson in weights and measures would be advisable, that forward pack is it's own worst enemy in selection. It looks tired, t...

Re: Living in the Past!

It depends which pieces of the past you reckon are finished Scott. If it's the more recent jobs for the boys and you scratch my back then yes I agree. We could do worse than some old Tigers fight, in fact we are! Whether you rated him or not all must now know that at least Cockerill had that grit. I...

Re: Time for the fans to show true Tigers' Spirit

My point is Ellis train of thought is that this wouldn't be happening if Cockers was here which is complete pish! Anyone with half a brain could see the regression in his final two years! I disagree Scott, he lost two Britsh Lions to injury in Croft and Manu and one on the verge in Slater, an Austr...

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester

Genuinely think that the backs are not the problem - if our pack can get them on the front foot they will score a lot of points. Hamilton and Williams are the only players 4-8 that have looked like they are capable of competing physically. 1 Genge 2 Thacker 3 Cole 4 Wells 5 Williams 6 Kalamafoni 7 ...

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester

What happened to Baumann? I don't know, Betts and Heyes were the A league tight heads yesterday. Heyes far too young IMO especially given the current issues, Betts also still young and not had much exposure. If Leicester had stronger depth at hooker these lads might be able to get more exposure, it...

Re: Tigers Vs Gloucester

Saints had no special 9/10 partnership yesterday and won, I am yet to be convinced that human telepathy exists, and if it did it wasn't meant for rugby union purposes and definitely not above other senses! Harrison easily in for me, and I'd seriously consider a new 10. If you can play badly and reta...

Re: Saints Away

There was one moment in the second half where that scrum just completely crumbled, that is one of the easiest signs that as a unit they are clinging on for dear life There were several points where the Saints scrum crumbled as well. Were they hanging on for dear life? Overall the scrum went well - ...
