Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Think we should remember earlier in the season when most other clubs played their World Cup players Tigers didn’t v Saracens!
If you look at how many games Chessum and Martin have played in the last 12 months they’ve missed lots: I admit that they were injured but!!!

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

If the England lads are fit they have to play: no excuses as they’ve had as much rest as they need this season: with 6 fewer matches in the Premiership and rest weekends during the Six Nations they would surely want to play. As I remarked elsewhere there are a lot of season ticket holders who aren’t...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Gloucester deserved their win as we cannot keep blaming the refs for our lack of discipline although I also agree that with 5 minutes to go we should have had a penalty try.I do like Dan McKellar but I do get annoyed when, as has happened a few times when we pre lost this season and he makes excuses...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

I’ve seen Tigers lose many games home and away but I gave tonight a miss as I’m off to Newcastle, Saints and Sale, but considering it was a Final I too was disappointed with the performance and the lack of ideas on how to score tries. Where is Freddie Burns when we need him: great guy and would try ...

Re: 5 Tigers in England U20 squad

What a great performance. I switched on as soon as Tigers’ had lost.
The defence at the end was superb as was the whole England team.

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Sadly it’s one of the most inept, passionless and baffling performances of the past few seasons. I cannot name one player who has stood out for us. Next week will be a massive point in the season because with season ticket prices having gone up some fans are already thinking of not renewing! If the ...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm

Interesting selections really:we have Cole, Steward, Martin, Chessum away with England and knowing our luck all of this quartet not be available next week. Then JVP, Watson, Cronin, Henderson, maybe Dolly, Clare out injured and Youngs fit but can’t play due to rules! Gloucester: Balmain, Atkinson( c...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

I think Furbank is a very good player but Borthwick needs to find out if he can become World Class like Freddie: I also read a couple of weeks ago that Freddie had picked up a niggling injury! Furbank has also been quite a versatile player and we know Borthwick likes that too. No one expects England...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Wigglesworth did a great job when he suddenly took over at Tigers After a tricky few weeks our attack improved. I’m not sure England have had enough time to get their act together. I do hope though that Borthwick soon decides who he believes are the best players to take England forward. Ireland are ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Like some others I too thought Martin could be a very good. Player at 8 but then was privy to a chat between our props who said the “ scrum was a different beast with George ‘s power at lock!”
Our 3 best locks areChessum, Martin and Wells. Wells’ defensive work and line out jumping is underrated!

Re: Next seasons season ticket

All I’m saying is like City fans and many other fans of clubs, there are many of us who will support our beloved club whether results are always good or the prices increase! In the early days we struggled to find the money for season tickets so decided to forgo an annual holiday! Like everything it’...

Thanks for that as I thought the same and until then Christophe had been pretty good. Still: well done Italy.

Re: Next seasons season ticket

Like many of us I continue to support Tigers at most away games so I’m on the other Premiership Clubs’ emailing list. Our season ticket prices have been incredibly good value since COVID and having already seen some of the prices for other clubs for 24-25 I’m sure we will continue to be one of the “...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Personally I thought Cole had a decent game as did Martin when he came on but Genge looks half the player he was with us and Earle today gave a couple of daft penalties away and I’m not convinced he’s a good enough player at 8. Play Earle with Mercer at 8 and that might add a better skill set. Itoje...
