Re: Dan Cole is a cheat!

Thats a rich statement coming from Michael Cheka who was known to be a dirty player who took every chance to cheat himself. I think he's made this rash statement to try and deflect criticism of poor performances by the Wallabies under his management. He's lost to Ireland and Wales already and only ...

Re: 6N to trial bonus points in 2017

I'm guessing the change is being made to encourage the scoring of tries. And from an entertainment perspective that is probably a good driver. I think I might be a little cynical here, but I'm not sure it will make a whole heap of difference. It would be interesting to see this system retrospective...

The full judgement can be found here: http://www.englandrugby.com/mm/Document/Governance/Disclipine/01/32/18/91/ClarkNorthamptonSaintsJudgmentNov16_English.pdf A quick read reveals that: "The Panel recognises that these (his two previous offences) are offences that should be considered but take...

Bumping for posterity and realising who 'Phil' and 'John' are.
Knowing them I guess this was a one off (or two off if you count the 2nd night).

Re: The late switch yesterday

Given that teams for Sunday matches are named more than 48 hours before the start of the match, there will frequently be changes. For example, Burns and his head injury and having to go through the concussion protocol. On the back of that information alone Bath should have been preparing to face Wi...

Re: The late switch yesterday

The Premiership Regulations for 2016/17 http://www.englandrugby.com/governance/regulations (from the RFU website, scroll towards the bottom of the page) say nothing about naming sides until an hour before kick-off on the 'Match Result Card'. After that the teams can be changed only by notification t...

Re: 3pm kick-off this Saturday AND it's on the box

Yes all well and good but what's the reason for moving the kick off time for the Saints match in December from 3.00 to 5.00 pm. Surely this will cause problems for some Tigers fans who travel a long way to watch them, in terms of getting home after the match? Guessing it's mainly due to England v A...

Re: This Season's European Fixtures

The scheduling of the matches may require some complex planning, involving the local authorities, policing, shared grounds and events happening in the same location. Once this has been determined and the dates available for matches considered, the TV schedules can be decided and a full fixture list...

Of note... apparently our game against Bath away in April is at Twickers!! I hope this is a mistake, Bath away is my fav trip of the season From Bath's website (I'd add a link if it wasn't Bath): "The 2016/17 Aviva Premiership fixtures have today been announced, meaning supporters can now penc...
