Re: Let's please be gracious and congratulate Saracens!

A team which controls how the game is played is always most likely to be the winner, and Sarries did that today. There were even passages of play when they looked as if they could really play some attractive rugby. It's a pity that their fans don't get to see that more often. Well done to all the pl...

Re: Team news vs Sarries

Thanks for that, KP, but even though I know the final score, I just can't bear to watch it today. I got to Matt's try and my stomach is swirling. God knows what I'll be like this afternoon!

Come on TIGERS!!!

Re: Waldrom and Manu win RPA awards

I wonder whether it'll be Paul Ackford or Stuart Barnes who breaks the news of vote rigging in the RPA Awards.

Re: Saracens still cross about last year

When the club looks at the re-arranging the seating arrangements, perhaps they will put the journos and pundits down at the clubhouse stand so they don't have so far to walk to their seats. It won't make any difference to the stories that they write if they can't see the rugby so clearly as they nev...

Re: Ten years since my proudest day as a Tigers supporter

Ah yes, I remember it well! One of the most tense Tigers' games I've ever watched. What a feeling when the final whistle went. Absolutely glorious. A brilliant atmosphere in and out of the ground, though the Parisians we spoke to in the streets outside the ground didn't seem to know too much about i...

Re: Well done Cockers!

It has always been the way of Tigers to win matches in the last quarter, after we have worn down the opposition. This is due to our greater strength and fitness, rather than any notion of styles of play, or game plans, or pre-planned moves. When Deano was playing, we battered the opposition into sub...

Re: Paul Ackford: Premiership heading for a crisis as attendance

I rather think that what you describe, Bill, is what the fans want. I'm sure the players would be quite happy with the basic facilities as described above.

Re: Ben Youngs or Grindal

I'm seriously worried about BY. He's been brilliant in so many games, but I'm worried that he's now started to try to think about what's the best move to make instead of relying on his instincts. He really was the rabbit in the headlights on Saturday, but I hope it was only because he had too much t...

Re: Time taken for kicks

A simple solution to avoid the deliberate tactic of time-wasting would be for the ref to call time off as soon as the kick is chosen. The clock could then be re-started as soon as the ball is struck, therefore leaving the ref free to worry about what he's going to have for tea or whatever it is they...

Re: Saracens submit 'exciting' ground plans

But what happens if their planning application is rejected and they have already left Watford? Will they have to go back to Watford, or play all their games at Twickers?

They could find themselves in quite a mess. Shame!

Re: Annual 6 Nations Rant

My pet hate is that b****y stupid touchline camera which doesn't give you any ideas of the position of the players or where the ball is going to go.

Is the coverage to entertain the uninitiated, or to inform the viewers who want to know what's going on?

Re: Toulon - The new super power in club rugby??

I think that in order to be considered to be a super power club the success on the field must be continued over at least a decade, otherwise we should only see them as arrivistes.

Re: Ashton try

Surely the point isn't just that the player runs the risk of dropping the ball, but the swan dive says "Look at me, aren't I wonderful!" when rugby is a team game and without the brilliant play of the other 14 men, he wouldn't have been in the position to score the try. There's no "I&...

If the worst came to the worst, it's not beyond logistical science to put two sets of kit on the bus.
