Re: Formerly of this parish

I see Olly Robinson has left Cardiff by mutual consent and with immediate effect. Does anyone here know what’s going on. Fans on Twitter seem very positive about his efforts for the club which fits with my view of his short loan period with us.

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration

Regardless of the comparison with Wasps it was pretty clear that the Worcester proposal was weak and the finances unsubstantiated. I agree, I’d rather have the Warriors of old than the Wasps of the last 8+ years, but both ships had sailed and only one has found a way back, so far. And if I were Cov ...

Ospreys LH is twisting down and in on every scrum and not getting pinged. Poor officiating.

I was there too Robespierre, and Scott is right - the bench too was not exactly stacked - Whitcombe, Socino, Wiggy not Ben, Muri - good players taking their chance but a lot who werent first choice.

Does that rule him out? Just means the RFU would have to pay compensation to La Rochelle to get him, so could be a win:win for the man and the club. Not going to happen of course - RFU too frit to sack Jones.

Re: England Squad - Autumn Internationals

I agree Flats and the Amazon team have done well - Hartley is still playing the role of former England Captain so feels the need to be diplomatic in public I guess. His flannelling suggested to me he was desperately trying NOT to say what he really thought. The problem really isn’t the experimentati...

Re: England Squad - Autumn Internationals

Unfortunately Eddie isn’t going anywhere and he knows it. The RFU are saying they might just break even this year so they can’t afford to pay him off. On top of that the likes of Bill Sweeney have no respect for the fans or the club game, as shown in his recent testimony regarding Worcester and Was...

Surely the first pint has been dropped and it’s that one it’s previous owner still wants to share, in the hope of getting a share of the second pint.

Re: Quick Throw In

On rules/laws, can a free kick go straight into touch and opposition get the line out? I ask because at game on Tuesday Tigers were brought back and a scrum given. Friends said it cant, I believe it can and said that the player must have tapped it first before kicking it to touch. Is this correct? ...

Re: Wasps still in the mire

At risk of bringing an interesting discussion back towards its starting point, have just seen this statement from Wasps about the pitch at the stadium- not the only issue or even the biggest issue but still an essential component of what’s going on there. https://www.wasps.co.uk/news/wasps-group-sta...

Knock on in the air I think. Surprised they havnt looked at that Looked like a knock on to me, but who knows unless you look at it in slow motion? (For me, that kinda makes it a call the on-field refereeing team didn’t get wrong, so play on). Or you could say it’s another example of home channel tv...

Re: Leicester Tigers gets in on the crypto grift...

Their CEO says, "My job is to monetise the 99 per cent of fans that aren’t in the stadium." Well he would say that whatever type of loyalty scheme he were running! Socios is a crypto scheme. As I understand it, the 'Fan Tokens' can only be purchased using the cryptocurrency $CHZ . The ini...

Re: Leicester Tigers gets in on the crypto grift...

How is this different in principle to the pre-existing fan loyalty scheme? It's just a different provider with a different technology, no? From what I read it uses blockchain or is provided by a blockchain providing company but that's about security of data transfer, not about investment in cryptocu...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

So, if English rugby cant afford a higher wage bill, why is the Premiership (ie the clubs) planning to raise the cap again in two(?) seasons' time?

The Beeb are reporting that post match he was ruled out of the final game - so either they are implementing the new protocol or he failed a post match assessment.
