Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
One way to view Borthwick is Tigers shambolic start to last season as much as our success the season before, IMHO that shows as much if not more to his coaching as the trophy the season before.

Re: International Eligibility
The change of nationality rule was brought in for the Pacific Island Teams, it really wasn't intended for the "Tier 1" nations to use.
VDM is one of the worse cases of "residency", got himself qualified & capped for Scotland then went to Worcester.

Re: International Eligibility
I have been annoyed with the Lions selecting non B&I born players. Scotland do seem to be pushing the limits of credibility at present, maybe a limit on qualified by residence players in a match day squad? There is a difference though between a player who started their career in a country they b...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work
Wigglesworth did a great job when he suddenly took over at Tigers After a tricky few weeks our attack improved. I’m not sure England have had enough time to get their act together. I do hope though that Borthwick soon decides who he believes are the best players to take England forward. Ireland are...

More proof this week(if it was needed) of the continuing poor quality of communications from Tigers about virtually everything...apart from sales in the Club Shop.

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby
& below Canterbury are the "local" teams, in the NPC most teams have a game with players wearing their "Club" socks (like the Baa Baas.) (The Scarlets did it the other week). Very occasionally the genuine top players appear for their clubs in NZ, there were clips of Ardie Sav...

One option would be to have a split broadcast deal for the league, majority on TNT (or another "paywall" broadcaster) with a game on Free to Air TV most weekends...there might be less income, but more exposure. Super League is now available on the BBC.

13 is difficult position to get right, you are a defensive linchpin & integral in attack, England don't have any international quality 13's at present let alone Tigers, Tigers recently had recently an International quality 13 on their books, but we let him go.

Re: England A v Portugal - MWWR - 25th February 2024
I think there is a genuine risk this could be embarrassing, and people are going to feel short-changed. Those in the know warned about the likely lack of strength that Portugal would be able bring in the middle of a tournament, in a slot where clubs are not obligated to release players. Yet still, ...
