Re: One business or two?

I have not been alone in feeling that Mr.Cohen et al have favoured the corporate side of the whole business at the expense of better all-round recruitment of the playing team. I feel that this is now evidenced by our lack of a competitive back 5 in the scrum - without them, we can't feed our strong ...

Re: Is O'connor up to the job??

Even tho' I recognise that quality of coaching is a major factor in our relative decline over the past few years, he can only use the resources at his disposal so I have always argued that Cohen's obsession with developing the corporate side of the business at the expense of building up our quality ...

Ben Kay

Although I can see why Ben Kay would not want to get involved in coaching, his knowledge, contacts and experience should be invaluable to us, but what I'd like to know is, given all his attributes and qualities, what does he bring to the Board - I'm not criticising at all - I just would like to know...

Re: Champions Cup Fixtures

As usual, our gang will go to the Munster match and stay with cousins in Tralee - just hope this year that we can do well over there and stop the Munster boys from taking the ***** out of us after the game - very, very painful! Fingers and everything else crossed!

Re: Watching the Lions

I see the business and development aspect of the tour a topic for another day but when the Lions returned from their last NZ tour 12 years ago, the key learning points were body position at the breakdown and basic passing/catching skills. 12 years on and despite all the money poured into coaching, w...

Dhol drummers would be a welcome addition frankly!

An absolute necessity - they got everybody involved - well done to whoever booked them!

Re: Tigers v Gloucester Rugby - Teams up

Last week Ben was outplayed by 38 yr old Stringer, this week Laidlaw was so much better, even commentators have it right, Ben just slows game down all the time, looking round indicating what he is going to do and most times you can read him like a book, very occasionally he does something special, b...

Re: Team vs Wasps

As an add-on to that last point re. decision making, would it have been too risky (we'd already lost) to have had a 12 man shove in the last few seconds to give us a bonus point? Nothing ventured etc. etc.

Re: Team vs Wasps

We're a yard slower than them in every department - off the mark, thought process etc. etc. We just don't look fit enough and what's the defence coach doing during the week? Once again, our receiving from kick off is abject.

Re: Whats going wrong

Surely, man for man, we had the better team on paper. Energy, desire, cohesion and leadership all seemed to be absent from us and hugely evident from Newcastle.
I agree that Messrs. Tait, Ghiraldini, Kitchener and Croft looked woefully off the pace.

Re: Newcastle v Tigers - Oh no just gets worse its Greg Garn

I can't think of anything approaching positive to write. I can't believe I'm still watching the garbage we're dishing up. Thacker & Roberts are at least having 'a go.'
Christ, we've scored!!

Re: Ticket for the Saints game - all threads updated

Not treating Jason then Chris? Colin Says he prefers the banter on the terraces - even yours!!!! Don't blame him though - I'm going back standing next season - the MetRx stand is so boring and an absolute nightmare to get out from after the game. Now that my new knee is 100%,I'll see you and the re...
