Re: How to Bring On the Tier 2 Nations

1) Give them fair & direct representation at World Rugby on the council. There is no fair & justifiable reason for Tier 1 nations to receive 3 votes each & others like Georgia receive 1 vote while Chile receives 0 votes. That would be my, relatively, simple suggestions. Isn't that how F...

Re: How to Bring On the Tier 2 Nations

SK88 has suggested that rugby championship is played at the same time as the 6 nations. 2 potential issues, firstly which one moves, secondly each is played in their respective hemisphere’s winter/spring time, so whoever moved would be playing in summer Rugby Championship moves. That helps Argentin...

Re: Tigers on Loan 2023/24

Despite being called Dual registration it actually works like "multiple registration". For instance George Daniels has played for Nottingham & Leicester Lions already this season. So I'd imagine Crane may step up to Leicester Lions if he plays well for Loughborough Students, or if Lion...

Strong Ampthill side. Will need to be on our mettle to get a good result here. From a wider perspective will be a good sign of whether these young players are as good as we think they are.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

They were chatting on the Rolling Maul pod about the fact Mike Williams is on a short term contract. Has it actually been confirmed as fact that Mike Williams is on a "short term contract" that most assume is up mid season? Or is it as factual as Mike Brown only being signed "until t...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Depends if the moneys there,if it is keep him in case we lose a few 6N and there's injuries to contend with too as well as him covering 6. Worth remembering in the 6N we will have an absolute maximum of 1 Premiership game in the pre-tournament training week & 2 Prem Cup games. Even were Ollie C...

Re: Match Day Program

It will be as most things a financial decision, how much does it cost to produce a quality colour programme, how much can you sell it for based on that cost before people say no thanks, and wastage as any not sold is money in the bin Though again no one actually knows that the club aren't producing...

Re: Tigers vs Ampthill (H) - Prem Rugby Cup - Sunday 24th September 2023 KO 3pm

How close do we think the Manz are to first team action? I know Tom? was knocking on the door at one stage Josh Manz come off the bench so far in both games, and was starting ahead of Carnduff in this competition this time last year, checking my stats he's actually played all of the last 6 Prem Cup...

Re: Tigers vs Ampthill (H) - Prem Rugby Cup - Sunday 24th September 2023 KO 3pm

Wells, Cracknell, Cronin yet to be seen on matchday (well Cronin played v Notts I suppose). Whitcombe & Carter yet to start. Depending on if any of those are back I'd look for strong spine of a team then give chances around that. Whitcombe ---- Dolly----- Hurd -----------Carter-------L.Chessum C...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Is it worth starting another thread for when the academy squads will be finalised. A couple of posters do seem very perplexed by it, as is their right, whereas I suggest for the rest of us it will happen when it happens, and will support the names on the team sheet This is the "squad" thr...

I believe people are referring to this announcement, which was solely during lockdown and stopped once in person sales resumed.

I can't see anything more recent than that.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

What kind of squad size are we going to be working with? Quins have name a squad of 75 for the upcoming season. It does include a fair few youngsters, but it’s still substantially packed with experience and lots of depth. So clubs add players, particularly academy ones all the time, but https://www...

Re: Match Day Program

Very disappointing for the club to just give up on what is a valuable part of the matchday experience for many fans. Particularly to not announce the decision, giving no chance of fans organising their own alternative. I think it was announced a year ago they'd go online. It's been more of an effor...
