Re: BRISTOL (H) - 5th June 2021
I’m hopeful that if we go “full strength” that we can go close against Bristol. We know they’re going to run pretty much everything from everywhere so as long as our defence out wide stays strong we should be ok. I recall with a mix and match side we were in the game at Ashton Gate until the yellow...

Re: Tigers to host England A v Scotland A
Several of our lads might have an eye on this. Heyes, Clare, Martin, JVP, Steward, Wells, Kelly and Henderson could all have claims, although the latter two may have options elsewhere. Eddie Jones will presumably use the game to assess those who might move up later and challenge for a world cup plac...

Re: 7th May - Sale Away
I know it's easy to say that Faf is pulling the strings, controlling things or having a good game generally because that's the accepted safe opinion, but, in fact he's been poor so far. Mistakes and little influence on the game despite Sale having possession and position. We're in trouble if he ups ...

Took us long enough to work out how to score against 12 men!

Re: Sat 20th March - Exeter away
Great character being shown by these lads. "Fans" refusing to watch? We're down to 14 men away at the European Champions. Of course we should be winning. There are some hard working performances being given by players who care about their club. They, at least, deserve our respect.

Re: Gloucester away Sat 13th March
Fair point. We do look to mix it up in the backs and at least have the confidence to spin it wide.
Our main attacking threat remains the forwards, but that may change as we return to full strength.

Re: Gloucester away Sat 13th March
Ref was excellent. Decisions accurate. Manner confident. Our forwards are dogging it out for us. Bit boring at times, but we have the characters to do the graft. No individual glory. Nothing fancy. Just consistent hard work. Hope is that when Nadolo, Ford and Youngs return we start to do a bit more ...

Re: Bayonne - next opponents
The Bayonne Top 14 results that I considered "impressive" were their recent wins over Montpellier and Toulon and their last match, which was a 20-24 home defeat to Toulouse. I agree that their attitude to this competition may be less than fully competitive, hence my feeling that their sele...

Re: Bayonne - next opponents
If it's time to rest a few players. I would start with Ladygaga, Clare and Heyes up front and rest Genge/Gigena, Youngs and Cole. That front row is man enough for what will be a tough job in Bayonne and won't be bullied. Second row: Lavinini and one of Henderson and Enever. Lavinini needs the game t...

Re: Tigers vs Brive
Pleased with that. Far from perfect of course and needed the class from the bench to get things moving, but got there in the end. The scrums in the second half were superb. Tight, low and technically strong. Gave us a platform and sapped their confidence. Agree with previous posters that we need to ...

Re: London Irish Away
Rubbish. Not the ref, or the coaches, but the players. Huge number of basic errors.
You can have a decent ref and all the best coaches, but if you miss touch from penalties three times and make other basic errors every few seconds, you're never getting anything out of a game.

Re: London Irish Away
Today isn't vital. Winning is preferable. Leicester could lose and still go and win the next five matches. It's early days. Leicester hammered Gloucester and Wasps beat Bristol last week, Gloucester beat Wasps yesterday. Agree with this. Hoping and expecting a win, but aware that nothing is easily ...
