Re: Manu to Racing 92?

Re: The Six Nations 2019

So i saw one doing the rounds on Twitter that is much more close up but this is the French footage which doesn’t show much. But Sinckler sounded pretty adamant he hadn’t started it. https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x725yy0 Obviously he shouldn’t be getting suckered into this sort of thing but I kin...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Not sure if I missed this but has everyone seen the face scratch (and let's face it, where the French pack is concerned, there's always a risk he was going for the eyes) by the French lad first? Quite obviously that doesn't absolve Sinckler (who one imagines will eventually pay a heavy price for thi...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

I think it's all academic now anyway. With only having a 31 man squad, the way Eddie has approached this 6N and the brilliant emergence of Wilson it tells me that we are going to Japan with 6 props and 5 BR (which is what I would do anyway) so bar injuries it's a shootout between Shields and Hughes ...

Do we think Lood De Jager is realistic?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Fair point. Still think we're a bit green up front mind you. Feel like BOC and Kitch take a lot of experience (and some titles!) with them. Backs are exciting though, and Reffell has great potential from little I've seen. Still think we'll regret losing Evans if that does happen (which I assume it h...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Let's hope there are a few more. Taufua seems like a great start though.

If it's true that all of Evans, BOC, Kitchener (confirmed), Tait (ret.?) and Smith (ret.?) are going we'll need a few more. Especially if Denton's concussions issues are apparently very serious...

That and the lack of £££ at Wasps presumably. Do we believe the rumours (including the ones about heading back to London) or is that too much to hope for?

Re: Dave Ward

No real skin in this particular game, and no axe to grind about Quins or Ward, but all three (neck roll, stamp/tread and spit) all looked bad - he's a lucky boy I think.

Apparently he's had previous with Young, which doesn't help.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Also what are people thinking will happen with Manu? Maybe a one year extension to ensure he could play in the RWC, before a wheelbarrow full of cash takes him off to France?

Or will he stick around?

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Vunipola, George Koch Vunipola is nowhere near as good a scrummager as Genge, Koch is a decent all-round player but you do realise that statistically Saracens are one of the worse scrummagers in Europe. My mistake again. I was under the impression that Vunipola was a Lions Test Prop and Genge (supe...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part Deux

I think lock is the position we need a marquee signing to fill. It would boost the pack massively and give us some added grunt. Totally agree - bit of a rallying point as well. Feel like Slater's leadership is missed, although do feel he was slowing down a bit so in pure rugby terms wasn't the end ...

Re: Tour to SA

(Dons helmet in fear of a barrage of abuse) I actually think Daly IS a better full-back than Brown - or at least, he is a better bet if we want to challenge at the World Cup. Defensively, he made errors in SA - but so did everyone (except Jonny May!) and think at altitude probably exacerbated a slig...

French 3,7 and 8 immense. Number 8 is only 17 and 110 kg. He’ll be a big lad when he stops growing He possibly might not grow anymore but even still he’s a big lad to contend with even if he has stopped growing. Has signed for Racing 92, and at 17! Hope they nurture and develop him properly I thoug...
