Re: The Six Nations Thread

We were beaten hands down, outfought and outplayed. See Fords getting a lot of grief on other forums but when has a FH ever excelled with a well beaten pack? Very rarely happens! Farrell was well worse as was JJ,especially defensively. The spacing between 12 and 13 was awful, quite possibly the worse...

Re: Ford or Tomua?

Harrison was the point of difference yesterday, took control and kept it tight when required, kicked when required and passed it out to the backs when required, he made the ball do a lot of work where sometimes recently the forwards have been asked to do all of that work. I thought the commentary ma...

Re: The Six Nations Thread

Very relevant, historically proven too. We look terribly flat at present and you could see this coming. Player welfare is a huge issue with our players playing in some cases more than double the games the Irish team play! Agreed. I think also EJ's high intensity training regime is having the opposit...

Re: Sarries vs Tigers

Very good game plan today executed quite well!
The forwards look like forwards when not asked to play like backs!
Not sure what was funnier, Bateman diving in to score or Quins new signing not!

Re: The Six Nations Thread

I think the players are shot,it always happens after a Lions tour and our guys have played a ridiculous amount of games compared to the Irish players. Ill try and find some numbers. I don't think stats around overplaying are relevant Rugbyflanker, they have just had two weeks preparing! England hav...

Re: The Six Nations Thread

I think Cole is looking past his best mol2, he isn't the player he once was IMO but he is not alone, Mako doesn't look fit enough and Hartley hasn't been good enough for quite a while, Genge, LCD and Williams are for the now and the future in my opinion! The backrow is laboured, Simmons and Billy V ...

Re: The Six Nations Thread

Well I thought that England had it coming for a while to be honest, the results have been good but the performances far from it! England contain opposition and play by numbers and that is about it! Scotland's intensity always had the potential to turn England over if they were accurate enough, just ...

Re: Guscott in the rugby paper

I think that Farrell has got better more recently, and I think that finally receiving the wide recognition that he is in fact an extremely good player has boosted his confidence to raise his game and attack with confidence! I do like his development as a player, he puts to shame many limited talent ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3!

BFG I agree with what you say re Evans, I believe he is ready for first team now, B.O.C is a 7 and is probably a little ahead of Will who has been hampered by illness an injury this season. I regard the signing of Thompson as a utility backrow man like Hamilton, great for the bench, he may be bette...

Re: Plastic Pitches v Grass Pitches

What I find quite amusing about the debate on these pitches is that Leicester played their best game of the season so far away at Newcastle! That's irrelevant. That include the four points! Should maybe give Falcons a chance and replay it on grass like they do at Wimbledon, maybe play at the Stadio...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3!

Must be very difficult for our management and coaches to get signings right in the fans eyes, they are criticised for signing a 28 year old forward with suggestions he is too old, yet there are suggestions that we should sign a 32 year old forward (Haskell) a 31 year old back (Teo) and a 27 year ol...

Evidence of greater risk of certain injuries here, and this is without taking the contact into consideration! http://www.naturalgrass.com/en/influence-of-playing-surface-on-acl-injuries/ That's not evidence IMO, it's an argument! Artificial pitches are fine, it just takes time to adjust to them, it'...

Re: New Forwards Coach - Mark Bakewell

I was actually going to post something positive, Well I am glad I dragged the positivity out of you. Or rather Flatman's positivity :-) I really like Flats but sometimes I can’t take him serious especially when he suggests that John Kingston is a good coach I did chuckle when Flatman suggested that...
