Re: Centres

Smith has been the outsatnding back the last few weeks, solid defensively and trying to create something in attack. Scored great try last week and created plenty today. He was also the first to get to AT and congratulate him on his superb score today. :smt023 :smt038 Smith HAS played very well in t...

Re: Gloucester v Leicester

Floods kicking out of hand absolutely dire, he just keeps putting us back under pressure. An on going thing for him, who coaches him to do this?

Re: Brian Smith resigns as attack coach

Will be interesting to see what happens to John Wells. I have always rated him, (as the man behind Deano) so will be disappointed to see him go, but the time is ripe for change, clearly. Wells has been the cause of slow ball in the England team for years, as the players said, his tactics were years...

Longshanks wrote:2 points - if you assumed Parling was taken off as a precaution why did you leave him out ofthe 23 altogther; second, is Morris a proven 15 or are you experimenting?
And another point, how can you leave Sam Harrison out of the replacements when he has been playing so well????????????????????

Re: Leicester v Ulster

Toby played very well but i wish he wouldn't keep kicking the ball straight back down the opposition throats, he has been doing this for a long time and is a part of his game that he really needs to work on, it puts us back under unecessary pressure.

Re: Leicester v Ulster

A hard fought win, which makes a change. Good to see the dog is back in the side. Defences on top and we grind out the win. Good to see Youngs back and looking sprightly. He just adds a touch of class which Harrison is a little shy of just yet. Crucial to deny Ulster a point. Gives us plenty to fig...

A very scrappy game but did what was needed, fantastic game from Sam Harrison, deserves to keep the shirt.

Re: So, where are the happy clappers now?

Firstly - I think Agulla would be best on the wing and another back three player in the centre. If this injury situation carries on - I would like to see them experiment with Alex in the centre - we need some go forward and he is very under utilised Here's a crazy idea - how about picking former EN...

Re: A tale of two sets of backs and their coaches

The backs coach is MOC. IMO Cockers' has pluses (excellent forwards coaching especially set piece, attitude, grit, honesty etc ) and minuses (inflexible tactically, awful substitutions, fixation with Grindal, Staunton, Chuter and Smith). Cockers with a proper backs and also a defence coach - fine i...

Re: Is Toby Flood actually any good?

Flood is a very good fly half, not the best in the premiership that goes to Evans, Toby is a long way behind him but maybe the best Englishman at this time. Flood needs to improve his kicking out of hand as at times it is appaling, his re-starts are far too deep also, if he improves in this area the...

Re: Tonight's horror show.

Hate brigade? - nowhere near it. The 'nay-sayers' have been 'nay-saying' for months that Ford is nowhere near ready for big boy rugby. Now perhaps that view - often decried by the 'real supporters' - will seen to be precise and justified. Some of the posters here actually know what they are talking...

Re: Players boycott RFU WC reviews

They were never likely to win the world cup when they treated it like an end of season **** up, not professional enough both from players and management!
