Re: Kieran Brooke's red card
Why a red card? Such thuggery should be perfectly legal and is what any normal rugby player does. :smt001 In no way is Brookes a thug. Cockerill let him go because he wasn't aggressive enough. Keiron is a decent fella who so far has not displayed thuggery at all. Its his first red card and notwiths...

Re: Bristol match thread
Completely agree. You have to dig very deep or be completely biased for Tigers to see any positives in that performance.drc_007 wrote:Pretty lacklustre from Tigers. Still handling error lack of concentration and urgency.

Re: Calum Clark - Again!
Just off the top of my head Schalk Burgers has been done for gouging a couple of times and a few other misdemeanours Nick Wood has been done a variety of acts, is he still playing? Jim Hamilton has had a couple of decent bans Ashton arguably but he has been unlucky especially with the gouging one L...

Re: Calum Clark - Again!
JFK cf Callum Clarke. I think you are missing the point Sybarite. JG's point (if I understand it) is that it's silly to morally justify or condemn actions in the present by randomly picking out actions from the past. My Dad refused to wear a seat belt, my parents' generation automatically lit cigar...

Re: Calum Clark - Again!
You won't affect the Whingers, they seem to connect historical bad behaviour - every club and nation has a massive list from the 70s-90s for a start - with a serial cheap shot merchant whose cheap shots are far from handbags. So why condemn waterboarding in the light of WW2, JFK's assassination in ...

Re: Bristol match thread
One concern I have about friday evenings match with Bristol is the fact that it will be the first time Ellis Genge will have been back to play at the place since leaving to come to the Tigers. I don't think anyone would deny that he has a short fuse my worry is that he will be seriously tested by a...

Re: Tait out for 2 months and other injuries
Tait never looked better under the high ball than on Sunday. In that respect, he was one of the most influential players. I've been as critical of Tait, as most forum members, but he's been improving, game by game this year and he'll be a big loss. Is it just me and a million others or are rugby fa...

Re: The old Harry Thacker debate
BengalTiger I suppose it is the nature of internet forums but some here take an opinion about something or someone and take any opportunity to air that opinion, Harry Thacker by virtue of his size must make the scrum weaker, just like big hookers make it stronger, of course technique comes into it ...

Re: George Ford
Given the choice between Freddie (who gets better and better imho and is unlikely to spend any time away on international duty) or GF who will cost another £200k-ish and be away for England for probably every match...no contest. Way off the mark. One club said to be offering GF £800k+ Sale it depen...

Re: Calum Clark - Again!
No sorry, I disagree. Theres being hard and being a thug. The likes of Johnson and White, along with many other non Tigers, including the likes of Courtney Lawes are hard on the edge players. Calum Clark is just a thug. Sometimes players go too far in the heat of the moment, but the things that Cla...
