Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
Jasper Wiese started at No8 for the Cheetahs in the first match of Super Rugby Unlocked (basically the Currie Cup) which doesn’t end till the 21st November, does that mean he won’t be here till then or will he be able to join beforehand? Looks like he had a good game 88 meters made 4 defenders beat...

Re: Tigers vs Quins - 04 Oct 20 15:00
Watched Nemani’s try back and it’s interesting to see off the scrum and then off Youngs’ dart, there is some form of diamond shape by the next 4 attackers - interesting to see as this was the same shape Bath played when they reached the final with Ford at 10 in 2015. Back play and some glimpses of a...

I mean the locks are still very young Henderson 20 Chessum 19 Martin 19 Manz 19 Going into a season with 3 locks hoping that the youngsters are ready would've been a big risk. As you say, hopefully Enever will settle more come the start of the new season. Think the potential for future locks is loo...

Thanks,we can realistically put out two very good BR when they arrive! Also nice how could be very similar style backrows. 6. Taufua 7. Reffell 8. Liebenberg 6. Brink 7. Wallace 8. Wiese Honestly bar 1 player I have been really pleased with our new signings. Out of interest, which incoming player h...

The Bristol game is on the 30th September, after the Semi-Final on the 26/27th, I believe.OakhamTiger32 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 5:34 pm Imagine we might field a strong team for the away match vs Bristol on Wed now. Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500
Match cancelled due to Castres players/staff testing positive.
Tigers advance to the Semi Finals next weekend as a result of Castres having to forfeit the game.
Let’s hope none of the Castres squad are badly affected.

Re: Kobus Van Wyk
Van Wyk posted an Instagram story of him in the gym at Tigers around 2 hours ago. As others have said, if he’s fit he could be thrown into the match day 23 - though the other backs who are likely to be involved have put their hand up too. How nice is it to genuinely have some selection battles for g...

Looks like Kobus van Wyk and his family are on their way over from NZ according to his Instagram.
Unlikely to feature this season but gives a good chance to settle and get into the team for 2020/2021 season. Looking forwards to seeing what he can bring to the team!

Re: Midweek Game - Wed 09 Sep Away to Wasps
Impressed by the outside hustle in defence from the backs - wasps haven’t got much room to create havoc in the wide channels with both wingers pushing up and followed by the centres.
Cut the discipline errors and get some line out control and we could be in with a chance.

Paul Tait on Twitter suggesting there is some speculation of Joaquin Tuculet joining Tigers - was rumoured to be heading to the MLR. Us, Newcastle and Toronto are linked to him; with Toronto probably the likely destination.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
Nice piece on the official website about David Williams, wonder if we’re looking to keep him after his loan. Seems to have a bit about him and would be like a solid backup player who can do a job when needed. Appears to have jumped ahead of Olowofela in the pecking order too. Purely based on what I...

Probably right with those. Maybe Olowofela if current performances continue. Hopefully Borthwick has his eye on some top guys!RagingBull wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 5:21 pm My guess
Bower (Most likely signed a 18 months deal)
Cole (Maybe didn't have a extension)
McPhillips
Not sure on others.
Any bets on Jones being the OC?!
