Re: Times report Ford on his way to Tigers
It's a shame that Freddie didn't stay and fight for his place. That said, I fail to see how this can be viewed as anything other than a fantastic signing. The incumbent England No. 10, best years ahead of him, the best hands in the business in terms of distributions, etc, etc. Just think of that bac...

I'd definitely go with McGuigan.
He has really stood up the last 2 games.

Also, Newcastle Falcons are apparently lining up: -
Josh Strauss - Back Row
Mark Bennett - Centre
Both from Glasgow.
Good signings if true.

Talking of rumours... Rugby Inside Line: TRANSFER RUMOUR: There is uncertainty over Dan Biggar remaining in Wales, after the WRU blocked a move to Northampton Saints last Monday. They're also suggesting Saints have reportedly already signed an Australian centre for next season. :smt026 Apparently c...

Re: Hostile "Tigers Fan" in the Holland & Barratt stand
What a complete !! You are congratulated for holding your tongue, and really for not dropping him there and then!! Much like the prat of a woman complaining that my heavily pregnant wife went to the toilet twice in one half (both times at a break in play I might add), you will be best putting this d...

Re: Owen Williams in Six Nations squad
I wonder how Glaws will feel about this. I assume they thought he would be available all season.
Is it a bit Rhys Priestland-ish?

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17
Matt Kvesic confirmed to Exeter. What about a cheeky bid for one of their back rowers? They have far too many now, much like Bath. Surely neither club will be able to keep everyone happy. Re: The Tigers business model
Couple of ways to attract top talent. a) Create a winning team and infrastructure within which players can develop and vie for international honours (Old Tigers) b) throw shed loads of money at them. b alone is not likely to be successful so a is a mandatory requirement But in today's market don't ...

Underhill, Rapava-Ruskin, Fearns, etc, etc.
Are these all examples of our current lack of pull and inability to complete in the transfer market?
Maybe Rapava-Ruskin wasn't essential but the others????

That's some back row options they have: -strawclearer wrote:Sam Underhill to join Bath at the end of this season, with Ospreys receiving a £150,000 transfer fee, according to @owenslot in The Times.
Faletau, Zak Mercer, Louw, Denton, Garvey, Underhill to name but a few.
I would take any of those in a heartbeat.

Re: Departure of Cockerill
3. The fundamental issue is still the structure of the club and with it our inability to complete in terms of finance, not necessarily just the playing staff (although I do think player acquisition and retention has been poor), but also our poor marketing strategy and inability to maximise revenue....

Re: Departure of Cockerill
For what its worth here's my view: - 1. The numerous interviews I've seen by AM since the RC departure clearly suggest the he was hamstrung in his attempts to run the on-field side of the team. This was surely the reason he was brought in in the first place so it seems utter madness that he wasn't a...
