Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
Always thought Will Spencer would be a good addition. Improvement over what we currently have and would be available all year round.

Re: Veainu broken jaw
His head hit his chaw, breaking it, hence a dangerous tackle. Just because he knocked himself out in the process doesn’t deem it suddenly okay. End result is Vieanu is out for 2 months and therefore should be cited. The fact he has injured his jaw means the tackle must have been above shoulder heigh...

Re: Pies for Kalamafoni
Considering he’s been easily one of our best forwards this season, plenty of others to have picked on over him!

Re: Munster vs Tigers
The game did prove the problems we’ve known for a while. 1) Front row can do a job for us. Looked good in the scrum when Mulipola came on. However lacking in the lock department massively. Maybe Mafi can help fix this? 2) Felt sorry for Ford, not much you can do in a match of this class with both fi...

Re: Pies for Kalamafoni
Bit harsh! Has been getting better the last couple of weeks in getting over the gainline. With a lack of other ball carriers in the pack against Munster, easy for their defence to double up on him.

Re: Munster vs Tigers
I know he knocked himself out, but a no arms tackle none the less no?

In at the side if I’ve ever seen it from Stander! Typical French ref letting anything go at the breakdown

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
If Hamilton left it would be a massive blow for Tigers. No reason he couldn’t continue his international ambitions with Scotland still playing for Tigers. His stock has greatly improved this season and feel we should offer him a contract which reflects that.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
For me currently Hamilton and Kalamafoni are our best backrow players with Mapapalangi coming in a close third. Evans is coming through but no one else has really stepped up this season, granted Williams and O’Connor have had their injury problems. Hoping them both can regain their past form of seas...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
Agree with the above, definitely need a backup 10/12 player who can slot in when needed. Mills would be the top of my list, always impresses when I’ve seen him play. Feel like I wouldn’t be too bothered if O’Connor and Fitzgerald leave. Feel they are surplus to requirement and no longer fit the game...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
We already have a hard running no.7 in Hamilton who before he got injured was on great form. Tigers best backrower alongside Kalamafoni at the moment and we definitely will want him to extend his stay. Thompson would be a great back up 8 though. Have always been impressed by him whenever I’ve seen h...

Re: Wasps v Tigers
Agreed on the above, Holmes has to play at 14. 5 tried in 4 games and has the ability to pop up anywhere in support and score. Given Tigers in general are poor in running support lines in my mind is a must starter. Against Bath especially was also strong in defence and had the pace against Wasps to ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
Ryan I think will prove a lot of people wrong when he returns from injury. Can jump in the line out, play blindside or opensides and is massive in defence. O’Connor on the other hand I wouldn’t be that bothered if he left. We have Evans coming through and O’Connor has never reached the heights that ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
If Tigers sign Mafi and Ryan comes back to fitness we have more than enough options at backrow. Don’t need anyone else
