That's certainly what I was shouting when he missed those easy kicks against Italy.

Re: England Team v Ireland at Twickenham

Whilst I would like to have seen a few tinkerings, the point made by someone on the BBC Sport site is a valid one: To drop players for the awful Rome showing, because they strictly followed their orders, would be somewhat wrong. The selection didn't stink up that game, the managament stunk that game...

Re: Cips off down under?

He will be in a fish bowl down there that's for certain. New club, one of the only Englishman in the competition, plus the fact that they obviously know his name and will have heard of his potential. He will have to be really good for most of the time to avoid getting eaten alive by the media. It co...

Re: Strange game - Lions 65 v 72 Chiefs

Surely there needs to be a balance in the game though? Great attacking play coupled with some great defence at times? Brilliant backline moves coupled with some outstanding forward dominated set pieces? Of the 4 things mentioned just there, Super Tries only has 2 of them. I would say they may as wel...

Re: Englands campaign

As Ben Dirs pointed out on the BBC Sport site, the "a win's a win" mantra is the same as meat and potatoes: it fills a hole, but is hardly likely to set the world on fire. I have a friend at work who flew out to Rome to watch the match, at great expense no doubt. The post match interviews ...

Re: Dan Cole

Didn't look out of place on the international scene. Gave a way a really silly penalty, but got involved, kept up with the pace and looked solid in the scrum.

Agreed. Almost looked like he had his Stade shorts on under his French ones. Perhaps they are lucky shorts?

Re: Englands campaign

Italy played well FOR THEM. Within their constraints they played out of their skins, and great credit to them. But the aspirations of England are somewhat beyond beating a passionate second tier nation on a good day for them, right ? With the salary and experience and potential in the England side ...

Re: Englands campaign

When we were told that England would be playing a new expansive style of rugby, did I misunderstand the terms, "Expansive" and "style"? Because for the most part today I watched the same tired tactics we have watched for far too many years. Now too many years ago those tactics ma...

Re: Ben Foden

If he is a talent and a prospect, I'm all for giving him a go, even if for only 30 minutes. Tell Armitage he is starting but barring major cock-ups that he'll only get 50 minutes. See what that does to his motivation (not questioning it, but competition for places is always a good thing). Foden has ...

Re: Storm in a teacup?

If it is just a bit rainy then it should obviously be kept open; sport is about adapting to the conditions as much as anything else. But if the weather is really grotty, to the point where it will seriously detract from the spectacle of the game, then close the roof if it is available. No one likes ...
