Abbott and Costello. Sharper than White and Ford and more fun.

Re: Tigers v Wasps

Given the fly-half injuries would it be worth having Costelow on the bench? He's older than Ford was when he made his premiership debut and a matter of months younger than Marcus Smith when he first started for Quins. The lad is very young but also very talented. Definitely change Ford for Costelow...

Re: Squad Analysis

Does this analysis extend to the quality of the Board, The Chief Executive Officer, The Head of Rugby Operations. I would have thought that other premiership clubs would be as desperate to Cohen and Glynn as Racing 92 are Tuilagi.

The logic being that we should do the same with? Andy Goode, perhaps. Maybe Laurence Pearce& Jerome Schuster again. Is that what Tigers have become. A shop window?

It's interesting to read about Sarries getting slated as THE club re: Salary Cap. I had an ear on the owners / chairs meeting in May 2015 and it was Bath and their charming owner who 'pushed the envelope' most ambitiously on the salary cap. I have no time for Sarries as a club, but to be fair, at le...

Re: Sarries next week

Matched them in stats and up on points for the best part of 60 minutes. Their bench, which we all knew was far stronger than ours, was the difference. The final score flattered them. Disappointing as I thought we had a chance at half time but not totally unexpected. Any points from this game were a...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 5

Don't like the personality slagging of a player on a supporters forum. It's really cheap. I thought Tigers supporters were better. The player has no right of reply. It's an act of cowardice. Challenge what a player does on the field, whether they are effective in role. But not negative stories about...

Re: What would you say?

I would ask "If someone at Tigers had the job title of Head of Rugby Operations, and they'd been in. role for five years, what would underperformance look like?"

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

The club haven't posted it yet because they know they will get pelters from this forum if there isn't at least 5 world class players.... Exactly. It's me sitting here tapping away keyboard warrior that I am, that's lead to the decline of a once great club. It's me that has undermined the morale of ...

Re: Team News v Scarlets

If this Tigers team had turned up at Welford Road as the opposition six years ago the post-match chat with Tigers supporters would have been; we won, but poor game. Opposition didn't turn up, had players on the field out of their depth, poorly coached, disorganised, unmotivated, going through the mo...

Disagree. Our front row is the best in the premiership and Denton,Spencer and Thompson are quality. Coaching and game plan is the issue Vunipola, George Koch Vunipola is nowhere near as good a scrummager as Genge, Koch is a decent all-round player but you do realise that statistically Saracens are ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Sorry guys, having read all of this. I realise now how wrong I am. The team is fine, the coaching has just been a tad iffy, the CEO is doing a cracking job. Glynn has cracked the academy. The Board have shown great insight in their recruitment and retention of DORs / Head Coach. The recruitment poli...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4

Facts v Moans. So answer the question. When was the last time in any professional sport that an interim Head Coach / Player manager had their appointment confirmed having a record of Played 8 Lost 8. It isn't moaning. It's just a fact. Now Played 10 Lost 9. I don't blame Murphy at all. Good luck to ...
