Re: Tigers v Saracens (H) - Sunday 19th February 2023 - KO 3-00pm

Imagine having put 13 million quid in to Tigers earlier in the week, and then turning up to watch Gopperth, Brown and Ashton. You’d feel pig sick.

20+ points defeat.

That would be very worrying. We need a new coach and soon. With evidenced prowess to date, England are welcome to WW! I’d take Nick Evans every day of the week.

That is the worst backline we’ve fielded in quite some time.

Retaining Kini and Samaki and letting Moroni go hasn’t really worked out.

Good team. Great to see Cronin back. I’d have been even happier if Martin or Wiese was back as well. Really need a win to have any chance of top 2.

Re: Congratulations Jasper

With the renowned security issues and mixed quality of healthcare back home, I think he’d take Leicester any day!

Congrats Jasper and Mrs W.

Re: Tigers v Gloucester (H) - Christmas Eve 2022 - KO 15:00

Without Wiese, Montoya and Cronin we are definitely not full strength, plus Martin’s ongoing absence. I certainly wouldn’t have picked Burns at fly half. Atkinson has looked good and Burns still not played a decent 80 mins this season. We will need the rub of the green, and 15 people on the pitch fo...

Indeed. Good luck to all parties. Looking forward to Tigers vs Gloucester and to England vs Scotland.

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

Sam Vesty surely? Bearing in mind we were all aware his move to Leicester was part of his career development, I’m fairly sure the Leicester hierarchy was also. And we should be honest that the reason the RFU let us have him was to facilitate that - otherwise we might never have got him. It would be ...

Re: Leicester Tigers gets in on the crypto grift...

Bitcoin went up 20-fold in course of 2016/17. It is trading today at approximately the same price it ended 2017. With a global recession pending I imagine by December 2022 it will be lower than today. An asset that is lower than it was 5 years ago doesn’t compare well to, say, Microsoft stock.

Re: Jack Willis to Tigers?

Sadly I think Jack is one of those injury jinxed players who will never fulfill his capability.

I’d take Alfie and Koch in a heart beat however, and a strong centre.

Re: Wasps still in the mire

Thanks for the link. An interesting article from someone who has experienced the club closely inside and out. In some ways no surprise that a sports club was run badly, and the biggest surprise may be that it lasted so long.

Seems like we bought Jimmy G on the turn. Looks like he’s over the hill and free wheeling down the other side. Really disappointed in the defence.

I fear a defeat. Freddie has been poor and Freddie Jimmy Scott is not a top 4 quality back line. Potter hasn’t recreated form of last year tho less ball tbf to him.
