Re: Crowsons appraisal of the Tigers

Seems to me there are several on here who could create a storm in a desert, and only come on to make prattish comments about anyone who ventures a mildly critical comment. As one who is glad MOC has gone, as much for his utterly foul mouth at matches (in earshot at several away games and a complete ...

Re: British and Irish Lions tour

This could be very interesting as already we know Warburton is out for the first game. Most of the English and some Irish too (well Tigers and Leinster). The field is open for Gatland to stick with a side that will get beaten in the first test. For the second test, all will change! Tigers will save ...

Re: One minute silence - why not?

My own son, just back from his second tour in Afghanistan, often laughs at the inability of the British public to understand that soldiers die most weeks; only on our doorsteps does it trouble people. They happily blank out the most appalling situations and actions, some of which are far more deserv...

Re: James Lawton - fool

Once again sent a letter to the paper about Lawton's article - the last one was about golf I think - but not published. The essence is that football and rugby do have an overlap in abusive behaviour (especially in S.Wales where scuffles between supporters and abuse of the ref are routine at some clu...

Re: Tigers confirm coaching team for next season!

I hope that the new backs team can enable the talent to achieve a higher level of skill all round. By that I mean less playing by numbers and more playing by what you see. Over the years we have lost a lot of talent because of our narrow minded attitudes to back play. I don't know about the lost ta...

Re: Ed Slater out of the England tour

IMO Tigers knew Slater was not going, his arm injury was already known and likely to rule him out. SL picks some weird and not very wonderful players, part of the England journey towards a valiant failure to get out of the pool in 2015 unless he is replaced.

Re: Sack Him!!

I will be closely interested to see how Tigers might change now MOC has gone. I remember reading Moody's bio and how he was quite disturbed by MOC's behaviour in the interview just prior to his contract 'offer'. I have, as my previous posts demonstrate, had severe problems in accepting MOC both as a...

Re: Brian Moore

All I'm going to post is:
1 Charlie Hodgson in the semifinal - what happened to the Saffas playmaker?
2 How does that differ from what happened to Toby?
3 How is that different from most Stains/Tigers games?
4 We won.

Re: Hartley Disciplinary hearing!

Once in the day swearing like that at the ref would've been half a season and your club refusing to defend you. I suppose the steady erosion of the virtues of rugby will continue apace with Hartley being given a derisory ban so he can go on the Lions tour. Personally I have never rated Barnes, but w...

And Mrs G's sister said that if it wasn't for Barnes Saints would've won easily. For family's sake I laughed gently. :smt005

Re: Rename Club house stand after Wayne Barnes!

Given the reports of what was actually said by Dimmon, correct decision after two warnings. Would not support a Tigers player if they did that.

Re: How am I going to get through the day?

Since I am not going to Twickers, I will go for a walk or to the gym during the final, as I can't stand to watch on TV. Always found it difficult and this will be impossible, physically and emotionally. That's why i stand on the Crumbie, so I can shuffle about and shout my head off! Sad to hear you...
