Re: How will they afford it?

I still think that players who have been raised from academies etc should be exempt from salary cap regulations. Ben Youngs might be a good example, brought up the Tigers way with great coaching etc but will now inevitably require a much higher salary since becoming England's number 1 SH. It would b...

Re: Manu

Having watched it again somethings strike me; Firstly, the original tackle wasnt particularly bad. OK, Ashton didnt have the ball, but where Manu was its quite easy to assume that he was about to get the ball from the pop pass from Dickson (i think it was!), so a tackle had to be made. It was around...

Re: Aviva Premiership Awards Nominations

Ashton might win it on tries, but tries do not make a player the best. Otherwise Vainakolo would have won it a few years back! For me though, its between Woods and Waldrom, though Brits might win it. But then again, he's not the best as a hooker, is he. Seems to do everything except... Agree about M...

Re: A New Number 10

Wouldn't want either of them. Austin was raving about Geraghty at the weekend, who in truth didn't do anything drastically wrong when he came on, but seemed to forget all about the occasional moments of absolute madness he has when starting at 10. A bit like Flood was when he started at 10 I guess. ...

Re: Weekend's England and Saxons Teams

Im not so sure about Tindall but he will tackle everything. It would be nice to have someone who could makea break at 13 but theres a lack of other options. As good as Manu may be, i dont think its a good idea for him to play against Wales, not jsut yet anyway. I suspect he might play towards the en...

Re: Llanelli trip -All Scarlets v Leicester threads merged here.

So then; Anyone got any suggestions for a Saturday evening in Llanelli. Anywhere good for food, or should i gorge myself on burgers? Do their supporters provide unlimited baguettes, ham and cheese? Also any suggestions for parking places, given that i know the city as well as i do the antarctic. Is ...

Re: Welcome to Perpignan and the Us@pistes

Força Barça, many thanks for the hospitality at the clubhouse over the weekend. Friday was fun (once we found it, spent 90 minutes walking up and down various roads until we found it!) and Saturday pre and post match was brilliant. Hi to everyone we met this weekend, as european tour virgins (as it ...

Re: Perpignan v Tigers

As for A. Tualigi. Well where was he.... Always about a yard infront of the player passing him the ball. Made one decent tackle but i didnt see him do a lot else. And Geordan didnt have a good game either. That said, i enjoyed the match at the whole weekend was an absolute blast. As for the Hotel V...

Be nice if the scrum could be sorted so we dont have to spend 3 minutes watching the ref tell them to try it again every time though aye.

Re: Perpignan v Tigers

Havnt we all. In which case, 4 tops, a coat, 3 pairs of jeans, multiple socks and 4 hats. The amusing part of the whole thing is that if ever a ryanair flight requires an emergency disembark more people will get injured because of the aircraft is chock full of hand luggage. But that doesnt bother Mr...
