Re: Stuart Barnes in today ‘s Times
I think Barnes is right. Complacency got us. Expectation replaced hunger. Culture determined by the very top of an organisation and hence the failure must be attributed to the highest levels of management rather than coaches and players alone. I don't expect any significant success in the short to m...

Re: Ben Kay on Rugby Tonight
Geordan must be given time to develop his team and style of play. No quick fixes here. What is needed is stability and a return to the values of previous teams, one's Geordan played in. We don't need our head coach looking over his shoulder to see if anyone is coming to replace him. What is needed i...

Re: Cohen, Glynn, to be sacked?
Who takes responsibility for ditching 2 coaches in quick succession, conducting a supposed worldwide search, with the best option that came up being a bloke we had only a few years prior, and who was most recently largely responsible for Leinster's worst season in many years? Let alone the poor per...

Re: Now time to make some serious noise.
[ [/quote] Ian, try telling Cohen how good he was at Leinster, he thought he was marvelous and rubbished me when I spoke to him about the poor appointment. Leinster couldn't wait to get rid of him, I understood he lost the dressing room there. I'm worried by whom Cohen takes his advice from! Past pl...

Re: Cohen, Glynn, MOC to be sacked?
Feels like its only the supporters and the odd player that has the club DNA in them these days and perhaps thats part of the problem. To 'die' for the cause you need to believe in it. Thats a cultural thing set from the very top down through the club and thats why people are questioning to positions...

Re: Cohen, Glynn, MOC to be sacked?
We have had a succession of head coaches in recent years accompanying the decline in the team's performances. Others have advanced whilst we have at the best stood still. That would seem to indicate that all is not well within the organisation making it unattractive to the world class coaching talen...

Re: Cohen, Glynn, MOC to be sacked?
BoD won't do anything until revenues are significantly negatively impacted. Be interesting to see the ratio of TV revenue to ticket and merchandise sales. I get the impression that supporter revenue is of lessening importance and consequently so their influence.

Re: Cohen, Glynn, MOC to be sacked?
If the Daily Mail’s info on the Board wanting that sacked Widney’s coach from league, then I imagine he will be top of the list of priorities which is worrying... I don’t rate Murphy as a skills coach, but I absolutely rate him as a senior coach and as a person too based on our AWC performance and ...

Look on the bright side. We still have 21 premiership games to play before relegation.

Re: Contesting the breakdown
Breakdown is a mess already. If you ref for entertainment rather than according to the laws of the game it won't get any better. More injuries likely perhaps?

Not an ideal situation but lets see what the position is when the real games start. The nature of our performance against Chiefs will tell us more than preseason.

Re: Tigers in turmoil article
A core of players allegedly instrumental in the removal of Cockers presumably in favour of Mauger who was himself subsequently removed to make way for their chosen one MoC don't have a credible track record of selecting head coaches do they. Why would anyone listen to them.
