Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Apologies if it’s come up in previous pages, is Montoya coming an actual thing, or a rumour ? It's a fairly strong rumour. A journo who covers South America and is usually pretty spot on has said his stint in Oz is ahead of a move to Tigers, although there's not been anything official from the club.

Gary Sherrard is still around at Tigers and is no doubt covering things for the time being.

Re: McGinity off

A replacement for Jan has already been sorted apparently. If that's the case then I can only fathom that there was an element of personal issues involved. I'm also led to believe that there was no communication between Geordan and SB towards the end of Geordan's time at the club. I am going out on ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

I've always thought Hardwick had ability but he thought he was better than he was. Even when he signed a new contract a few years back there seemed to be a lot of bluster about the sort of contract he thought he deserved (in terms of ££££) For me, he'd be best utilised in the centre but we've never ...

In fairness, it may still be the original post but it came up on my Google feed this morning.

Anyone else remember the huge buzz that went around the ground when we played Saints and Manu made a comeback from injury? If it was the one that was part of a documentary and Manu returning was announced in the players meeting prior to the Saints game in the linked documentary then yes, also iirc,...

England's Worst 15

Ruck has posted an England Worst 15, which has supposedly been voted for.by fans. You can see the 15 and the training behind each selection here: https://www.ruck.co.uk/worst-ever-fans-pick-an-xv-of-the-biggest-flops-to-have-played-for-england Interestingly, Louis Deacon is selected in there, which ...

Re: Wigglesworth in!

Class debut. Arguably one of our best scrum-half performances for a couple of years, for intelligence and game management. There is box kicking. And then there's Wigglesworth's box kicking. I don't really remember that far back - was his game management of that sort of ilk when at Sale or was it ve...

Dan is no slouch for a prop and a few years ago was no slouch, full stop.
I know this is slightly off topic, but, all of the players looked like they'd shaped up and Coley looked in the best shape I think I've seen him in for a number of years.

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

Impressive start to the season from Leicester. High pressure and they looked energised. Gloucester looked rudderless and perhaps missed without Heinz some of what Wigglesworth added to Leicester. My Glaws supporting friend reckoned they were missing: Heinz, Polledri, Singleton, Alemanno, Rees-Zammi...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester - Teams Up

Been in contact with a friend of mine who is a Glaws fan and both of us commented on how many each side also has missing to add to the 23 both sides put on the park. By my reckoning we have a bakers dozen unavailable for one reason or another. He thought Glaws had 9. For me, the pack was a huge upgr...

Not counting chickens, but, that's a very fine start! Admittedly, Glaws have helped us out but we've taken our chances well. Keep this up.
