Re: Our players falling out of love with the Tigers?

I think you are mostly missing the wood for the 12T :smt005 IMHO most people are reacting to a series of events: 1 the early season mishaps 2 the deafening evidence on the park that MOC is not up to it 3 increasing irritation with RC 4 a guy who was once seen - though not by us seemingly - as a futu...

Re: Billy's off...

Our problem seems to be: 1 no good 10 cover unless we pay a ruddy fortune 2 12 is now a truly flaky position even if Manu is moved there 3 we are possibly losing a truly international player - Agulla and definitely losing AT although he is losing interest/form this season 4 two players are getting t...

Events elsewhere have rendered this thread misinformed - 12T going too.

Re: Billy's off...

Good on 12T - he could have earned a lot more two years ago by going to a Welsh club on the back of his Ospreys performance. He stayed on, and for whatever reasons - and I can't think it is that such a pleasant, diffident character is the root cause in comparison to some of the other characters conc...

Re: Squad changes

Hell of an echo round here........ :smt005

A good 8 needs to be heads up, good hands and feet, largish, quick off the mark, mobile. Slater is a young Parisse.

Re: Mike Miller standing down as CEO of IRB

It was Mike then, was it. I thought the head of the IRB was Max Miller, a long-dead comedian (the Cheeky Chappie) - which IMO accounted for their comic rule bending and SH-aggrandising.
What a disappointment.

Re: Does the Salaty Cap really excist?

IMO there is only one club where this may be an issue, and they have exploited a loophole perhaps to do with player loan and main employer?
NB not Tigers.

Re: Squad changes

I think Billy will be here next year but I am starting to wonder whether Anthony Allen will be. Gloucester need an IC and he would fit the bill for them whilst his performances for Tigers this year haven't been what they were last year and add into that he'll no doubt want a significant rise in wag...

Re: Season Ticket Sales

We are unable to pay up at the moment, even with the recent offer, and this will be the sole factor in deciding whether to renew our STs. Every match costs us the match tickets (app £40) plus petrol, food, sundries - roughly about £70. We are weighing up whether to go for individual tickets or not, ...

Re: Ashton to Saracens

It is clear we do not pay silly money, hence Strettle going to Saffas for twice what we were willing to offer (in my view we had his worth exactly, indeed maybe a bit more than that). Castro could've earnt a lot more elsewhere in Europe.

Re: Is it a coincidence?

So in your brave world, posters would just say "Isn't it all wonderful" or "well this is my only post as I haven't played professional rugby union, so all though I was the successful coach of a senior amateur team, a qualified master coach, a representative player in the amateur era, etc I am clearl...

Re: Ashton to Saracens

That is £500,000 pa on two wingers. Unless one of them is the marquee signing (and there are some other candidates in the saffas line up), there must be a lot of small salaries around there.
