Re: Crisis?

Thank you, Rizzo.
Now this is what I expect from a learned forum, some larnin'. What next, quotation, bon mots, haiku? It certianly raises the tone from the usual "I don't agree and IMHO you're a rounded lump or ball, especially at the end or on the surface of something".

Re: Sale target George Ford

Ford now captain of England u20 means a few quid onto his price....personally I would not be tempted to play in Stockport or Salford on a cold wet Friday night in December-Feb as I grew up doing just that!

Re: England Team for Scotland

This is a shut-down team based on containment, confrontation, territory and converting lapses by Scotland into points. Plus ca change. The team for the next match will be interesting.

Re: New Deals for Alesana and Horacio?

I really hope this works out, Agulla has been excellent this season and is well worth retaining if at all possible. Also, it actually makes a great deal of sense for Tigers, as if we can get him released for the November internationals it means he is available from the late October to the end of se...

Re: > He's not the Messiah... he's a very naughty boy

Piece of sense at last. Exactly why I get fed up with Tigers back play. I have come to the same conclusion, that I am never going again to see skilful adventurous play again at WR unless by the visitors, at least not under the current coaches.

Re: Sale target George Ford

So you think Bowden is coming to play third fiddle after Flood and Ford? Surely that's way too much fiddling! And maybe to challenge AA for 12, when everyone knows that even a half fit AA will always be shown preference? In terms of 10 then I think Bowden will be happy to play third fiddle. He is a...

Re: Your England Team v Scotland

Agree it is odds on for Farrell to start, indeed virtually the whole (non-scoring) Saffas backs to do so. I feel conflicted as I want England to win but I want to see certain players taste Murrayfield mud...... I have this feeling that injuries this week will change things a bit. I also think we wil...

Re: Armitage... again..

The altercation in a nightclub was inevitable, and quite possibly racial. There's a lot of crusties in Devon. Armitage was an idiot for going there (or any nightclub) in the first place, but he was probably looking for local talent, another recipe for disaster. Lancaster is correct, but the rule sho...

Re: Sale target George Ford

But it might make more sense for Tigers the CLUB to let him go and buy a competent SH number 10 in (like Bowden?). You no longer have to live with Ford's learning curve. Likewise at centre where the anticipation now I expect is that Forsyth will assume the 12T second fiddle role and a purchase of a ...

Is it irrevocably no longer Rugby Union?

Meditating on the differences between the reffing in the AP (most of the time) and the Pro12 and elsewhere, it now seems clear that the 'contest at the breakdown' is the one the AP sides are losing. Pro12 allows flopping, hands, in at the side, punishes sealing as not releasing by the side in posses...
