Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Mrs G first reaction: won't be Leicester Tigers any more. Minor shareholders? We're they consulted? :smt017

John Griffiths it is. I am by temperament a solo traveller, and Mrs G has hodophobia.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

"1 very good team there easily top 4 and one decent team. A drop off obviously but a strong front 5 and experience in the backs. I've no problems at all with that set of players it's the coaching team that terrifies me. That squad should be nowhere near the bottom spots this season" Agree 100% Scott...

Re: Challenge Cup 19/20

Biffer used to be quite a critical voice, now he seems positively optimistic. I'd like to know who the new coach is, assuming Ford is staying for me to be vaguely optimistic about Europe.

This is what happens when you reportedly cut costs and replace good coaches! Read Ryan's piece too, sounds a bit salty but it must be true because otherwise it's a legal teams dream and I haven't heard it being challenged. Anyone else?

Re: Guinness threat to London Irish

Concern over signing Paddy Jackson. Cash Converters have already withdrawn sponsorship, maybe Guinness next? https://extra.ie/2019/06/10/blind/now-guinness-sees-red-over-paddy-jacksons-london-irish-move It has been far more of an issue in Ireland than some comments on here in the past have suggested.

Re: 2019 World U20s

I thought the England U20's were really lucky to get a result against Italy who themselves wasted a bucket load of chances. I wouldn't pay in chocolate coins to watch these names and the way it is going the game will be totally full of them. With all of the successful development coaches now having...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

As the father of a youngest who knew AWJ as a contemporary (we lived in Swansea twice) the privilege is somewhat correct and NOT a chip. His lawyer parents paid for a lad who was not the best in the district to attend every coaching course going, and while he is talented, he was connected, which som...

Re: England XV v Barbarians

I’d prefer to say people’s opinions are just being polarised because they’re angry at the current situation of the club, I wonder what that mirrors? :smt017 Yep JP I guess you're right there. Recent experiences by colleagues and self suggest the default now is not polite disagreement but full on ag...

Re: Weekend match thread - 31st May 2019

Both BFG and JP14 nailed it. I would add BK out of the sphere of direct influence. The lack of conditioning not due to MOC being late, but to a kick up the bum needed to conditioning and coaching staff in general.

...Sarries speed and confidence is a massive asset. Still going offside when defending and the ref sanctioning it. Sarries players making defensive tackles while 3 or 4 go past the gain line when they are nowhere near the ball. Cuts down the space for the attacking team and any turnover has immedia...
