Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

End the season now and plan for next including crowds. If the pubs open in late July then there will possibly be more people in pubs over a weekend in Leicester, Bristol, Bath etc than will attend rugby games. There will need to be a different mentality and empathy from fans. Reduce maximum attenda...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

Assuming no vaccine, there is little the club can control outside the training ground or match day. The only use for masks is to prevent you infecting others, likewise gloves do nothing unless you avoid your face and discard them correctly afterwards. Nothing within the disinfected training environm...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

New Zealand are bringing back rugby on June 13th, the country with one of the most strict lockdown rules (too strict in my opinion but that’s beside the point). Simply the matter is that money talks, if the players are within a controlled environment and don’t contract coronavirus then I see no iss...

Re: Provisional Premiership Return Date ?

I thought I caught COVID19 through our 6th form returning from an Italian ski trip. Now I realise I should have had disinfected balls 😅😅😅

Re: Umaga raps English obsessions

Rooves exist at all levels in the game, and especially at international level in the UK physical bulk and height have been obsessions for decades. While Umaga may be the spur for comment, the priorities by and large remain. Lower down the chain, early developers are fast-tracked and late developers ...

Umaga raps English obsessions

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/ ... _News_Feed

Says a lot of the criticisms some have voiced on here over the years, that stunt the UK game.

Re: Simon Cohen leaves with immediate effect

https://twitter.com/FreddieBurns/status/1259941301832867842?s=20 I have never met Simon Cohen, and can therefore only go on what I read. I wonder how many people not just on here, but on social media platforms, can say they have met him and can justify some of the nasty comments that have been writ...

You could even suggest that we did RC a favour by (correctly in my opinion) sacking him.

Re: Rob Taylor joins as Assistant Coach

Last night's LTTV showed that decisions were big conference calls with Borthwick, Smurf, Glynn, MGinity, Cohen and Academy input, Smurf and SB made the final decisions.

Re: Julian White - RugbyPass

Julian the ladies favourite! We were in the old Undercroft Bar at Sandy Park, the only Tigers player not in the Members was Jules. There formed a queue of mature women to have their photos taken with him, including Mrs G his greatest fan. He was somewhat bemused by the attention.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

Before the overhaul the academy was not in a good way. It's one of the things Glynn oversaw that went well. Getting in Jamie Taylor and breaking up the old boys brigade that were more interested in what school you went to and who your dad was than your ability. The academy shake up produced the per...

I am well enthused by these, more than a marquee signing. This is continuity and coherence writ large. 😁😁

Re: The Future of the Prem

It'll be interesting to see how the game might change with social distancing. Gyms are closed, training will need to change to more outdoor methods and I expect it to continue for quite a while. Will we see bulk become less important and a slow return to the days where props had a rugby playing bra...
