Re: Rougerie eye gouging

Rougerie's fingers clearly being raked across McCaw's eyes. No legitimate reason for his hands to be anywhere near there. I'm sorry, but for an incident as serious as this, which amounts to attempted GBH, the citing period shouldn't mean anything. I know this kind of thing is pretty common in France...

Re: TERRACE and fans - threads merged

Seems to me this is a private matter between those actually involved. I doubt any posters on here know what is actually going on, and it's none of our business - in my opinion. If a security guard in Tesco is assaulted by a customer, are Tesco obliged to inform every customer exactly what is happeni...

Rougerie eye gouging

Re: Piracy

It would not be difficult or expensive to install separate volume controls for different stands. Have the club looked into this?

Do we even need music, other than when the team comes out?

Re: Glaws LV thread (takes deep breath)

On the subject of ITV replay shows, has anyone tried viewing them on ITV Player? I found it to be such low quality I had no idea where the ball was.

Re: New Zealand World champions

exiledandy, I was debating a specific point that you made - that ITV denied you the opportunity to view the McCaw incident.

As for your "shouting", no need to apologise. I do not find capital letters offensive.

Anyway...

Best World Cup final?

Really? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/rugby-world-cup/8844197/Rugby-World-Cup-2011-New-Zealand-8-France-7-match-report.html "Comfortably the best World Cup final". Am I the only one thinking the rugby was distinctly average at best, rather like the whole tournament? Sure, it was tense,...

In that case I take back the lauding comment. Half time was too early for any lauding.

Re: New Zealand World champions
Again - not really my point. My point was that at half time they showed the Cruden tackle but not the Parra one (if you had read the thread). This was indicative of the fact that ITV mostly lauded NZ and were one-eyed.
No, your point was, in your words, as follows: "the issue was tha...

Re: Unbeaten until Xmas

We're only 10 points behind 4th place. With 16 games to go. Not exactly a million miles, is it? Then take into account Harlequins are top, they will drop away at least a little due to half the other teams suddenly becoming a lot stronger. Same Goes for Sale. London Irish are 4th, we have to play the...
That wasn't really my point - the issue was that ITV didn't replay it so we never got the chance to see.
There was a replay shown after it happened. Definitely not deliberate in any way at all.

Re: New Zealand World champions

France didn't deserve to be anywhere near the final, but NZ won due to the appallingly partial referee.

Lowest scoring WC Final ever, and possibly the worst WC ever. Ruined by negative, unambitious rugby and shockingly bad referees.

Re: Lewis Moody retires from international rugby.

Definitely doing the right thing, for England and himself. Hopefully this will help him extend his club career an extra season or two.

It's a shame other senior members of the England team don't have the same sense of dignity and responsibility.
