Re: BT reckons Relegation...

I haven't been impressed or not by any teams this season but my word the refereeing puts paid to any predictions from me anyway. I've been bored by the slowing of ruck ball this season so far, it's terrible and mostly just a sumo wrestling contest as a result. It matters not how good you are when S...

Re: Tigers v Pau Saturday Nov 16th

I would be amazed if the 3rd team they send look like they have any interest in the match, sadly. I hope to be amazed.

Re: Alex Sanderson.....

I must preface this with the view that Gloucester were poor today, very poor by their recent standards and this was a gane they should have been looking to win. I have always thought Alex Sanderson was balanced and had humility when things were not going their way. I think he got it wrong today and...

Re: Dylan Hartley Retires

Difficult to know what to say about Hartley - a good player when he managed to control himself, but lucky to get 96 caps. My memory of him will be the arrogance he revealed with his behaviour during and after his red card for calling Wayne Barnes a :censored: cheat. Not someone I'll particularly mis...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

I'm think of booking Will Fraser who runs the 'Saracens Way' Organisational leadership programme to give a seminar at my company. Although the company I started a decade or, has made a post tax profit every year, and employs a handful of people, I'm always keen to learn. Referrals on the Saracens w...

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

The performance against Gloucester gave me hope, but recent history tells me to be cautious. Veainu is a big loss, although Holmes is an excellent player too it leaves us weaker on the wing and as a back 3 unit. Olowofela played really well last week, but the thought of him trying to tackle Naholo ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

I don't understand why people say that the £5m fine is peanuts to Wray. Apparently he's worth about £300m, so it's the equivalent of a person with a net worth of £300k (i.e. has finished paying off the mortgage on their 3 bed semi) being fined £5k. That's quite a lot of money. Also bear in mind that...

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

No news on there website about their lineup for this match, so how do we know they will put all their returnees into the squad?

Re: Borthwick

You would hope that if he isn't coming the club would have already made an announcement denying it, otherwise they're just allowing us to live in false hope.

Lack of that denial probably means that we are at least in talks with him.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

I think this could have opened Pandora's box, just a quick search on Companies House and Melani Nanai (Worcs), Jordan Taufua (Tigers), Sekope Kepu (London Irish) and Robert Du Preez (Sale) all have promotions companies that were set up in the last few months which coincides with their signings. The...

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

I'd be inclined to give Genge a week or two off as well. Despite not playing it must have been a pretty intense environment and a bit of relaxation might be needed from a psychological point of view before coming back firing for Tigers. The alternatives have done pretty well so no obvious need to ru...

Re: The World Cup Final

And in four years time England will likely have an outside centre at full back grasping at thin air and a smirking skipper who misses important kicks with 12 on his back being made to look like a lamppost by the opposition winger because Eddie has no back three players on his bench. Not forgetting ...

Re: The World Cup Final

A shake up is afoot... “I tell you what happens to teams – they evolve,” Jones said. “Some guys will lose desire, some guys will lose fitness, some guys will get injuries and there’ll be young guys come through. So this team is finished now. There will be a new team made. We’ll make a new team for ...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester

For a young player in such a high pressure moment, on balance I'd probably rather he focused on making the kick than having half his concentration on the clock - especially when he would have only had a few seconds (as far as I recall?) after the buzzer went.
