Re: Ford in The Mail today

Not surprised by that at all, it was clear some players didn't care last season. Hopefully those people are gone and the newcomers aren't so happy to be losers.

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

There's a reason his office is in Knightsbridge, he owns a football club in Lausanne, and a season ticket at Chelsea, as well as being linked with Nice football club.

Re: CVC Kite-flying?

Until Pro14 finds a way to be relevant to fans (e.g. more than just a development league for half the seadon) there will always be these sorts of rumours. The Prem is probably too far down the line in it's own development for anything like this to ever happen, but who knows.

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Ratcliffe is a keen cyclist and sailor, hence his involvement there. He's also a Chelsea season ticket holder. I don't think there's any interest in rugby, or the city of leicester. Note that his football interest or rumoured interest is in Lausanne, Nice and London. If he were to buy a rugby club I...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Because people that rich don't buy a sports club to make a quick buck on land. Because people that rich don't think as short term as you. People who are already worth hundreds of millions or billions don't think about making a few million. They think about doubling their wealth. They think about leg...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

All this sweat the asset quick return prime land is a load of carp. It's a medium sized plot in the middle of LEICESTER, not Chelsea. Get a grip. How is anyone going to sweat the asset? Cut costs to make an annual profit? Result would be poor results, reduced value of the club. The only business rea...

Re: Manu to Racing 92?

Or maybe he really does want to take time to consider the options, given that it's a massive decision for both his young family and his short career. Tough choice for him. I don't see him being the Wilkinson type who will go there, learn the language and settle in to the lifestyle. However, I also d...

Re: Gloucester 23

My prediction: Tigers lineout to be destroyed, as is the norm these days. Thorley to grab a wonder try in the second half, busting through 14 pathetically weak tackles. Barnes to have an excellent game with the whistle and no one on the forum to be debating his decisions post-match. Scrum dominance,...

Re: Bath next week ....

The Roberts try is debatable, I can see both sides of the argument. For me, not a try but if it was a Tigers player? I'm not so sure. The Knock on - clearly a knock on. As others have said, if Worth was holding on then that means it should be a penalty to Bath. You can't continue a penalty advantage...

Re: Diamond in trouble?

If Diamond, as a person in a very public role, can't take a newspaper article criticising him then he's going to have a very unhappy and angry life. It's the nature of the role and reacting like he did will only exacerbate it. Being a prop or northern is no excuse for behaving the way he did. Typica...

Re: Murphy appointed head coach

Agree with what Goode has written - but is Ford really on more than Williams and Burns together? Surely not! Maybe he means what they were on at Tigers, which probably wouldn't have been enough to keep them. The idea of having committees to run this sort of business is ridiculous, and strikes me as ...

Re: Quins must win 23

Tigers fans would need to watch hours of video to have an idea as to whether Sam Simmonds, Nathan Hughes or Ben Morgan might be better than Kalamafoni? Fair enough! Defence is why we are so low down in the league, clearly, and that is in large part down to the centres - but it isn't just them missi...

Didn't MOC want Davis but the BoD refused?
Probably Yes, that's because they wanted Davies. :smt001
If they refused to employ a decent defence coach because of spelling error, then they are truly useless.
