Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
Next Sunday's match in Dublin will be crucial. French confidence is running high but Ireland will be a tough nut to crack, but if the French can get at least parity in the pack then their backs should seal the victory. Also, Ireland will probably be without Sexton which won't help their cause.

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
Farrell must shoulder much of the blame for that poor performance. He seemed ineffectual as captain and so the team had no sense of direction. Eddie must bite the bullet and axe him and select a 10/12/13 that will take the game to the opposition, ie Ford with Lawrence and Slade (who had the misfortu...

Re: French rugby 2020/2021
There's another rearranged Top14 match this evening; Clermont v Lyon (Jordan Taufua's début).
Tomorrow there's Montpellier v Stade Français and on Sunday, Castres v Bayonne and Racing v La Rochelle.
I'll post the results and table on Monday.

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
Even so, that looks a seriously strong French side that for me, could win the 6N with maybe a Grand Slam! No offense Robespierre, but as one of the England fans firmly in the "so long as we beat France" category I do hope you're wrong. (This is a stance that particularly winds my sister's other hal...

Re: French rugby 2020/2021
Who among you, remembers Jean-Pierre Bastiat, No 8 for Dax and France (32 caps 1969-1978), who has just died of a stroke at the age of 71. At 1m98, he was enormous for a No 8 and was part of the fabulous back row with Jean-Pierre Rives and Jean-Claude Skrela. Here's a youtube clip. https://www.yout...

Re: 6 NATIONS 2021
France should be good enough for a Grand Slam, but with two away matches in Dublin and Twickenham, they may have to wait another year.
Their objective however, is the 2023 World Cup in France, where they will be among the favourites to win! I just hop)e they don't peak too soon.
