Re: Sale vs Leicester - 21st February 2020
What do you define as a basic skill? The dropped balls, missed tackles and turnovers look to me to be the outcome of players trying too hard to force some piece of individual brilliance to make up for dull systems that aren't doing the job. Of course maybe the skills would be improved if we had a s...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 15th Feb
From laws perspective the line of the shoulder is a line along the top of the shoulder so a hand on the shoulder is over that line and high on this context. Where does it say this in the laws? It clearly says above the shoulder, not on the shoulder. I wouldn't say on is above The frame work for a c...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 15th Feb
Ben Whites try saving tackle WAS by law a seatbelt tackle therefore we were lucky not to concede a penalty try. White grabbed on top of the shoulder when Kibirige was still in possession, I don’t think the term ‘seat belt tackle’ is in the law. The term though refers to when the arm goes over the s...

Re: Ellis Genge Appreciation Thread
... Got the impression Ellis was a bit narked at something in the afters following his try. Maybe a Scot trying to wind him up? If I’m right, I’d like to congratulate him for holding it in. Watched the replay this morning. I don't think Ellis' face was scratched before his superb prop's try and a J...

Re: Hotel, Car Park and fanzone
I'm sure they will have done their homework with respect to available beds to service the Leicester market. In general wherever you seem to go in the UK you often find hotels fully booked if you are trying to book at the last minute so I doubt Leicester is any different. I suspect the main market w...

Re: Saracens are relegated!
I think this all comes from the Cap rules being designed to enforce minor breaches - I don't think anyone thought a club would be so brazen to have such disregard for rules that they had agreed to. PRL have not handled it well but lets not forget who is responsible for it - if Saracens had stuck to ...

Re: Saracens are relegated!
The thing I don't understand though, is how they are still over the cap this season? If it was only that large, apparently one off, purchase of one player's image rights that put them over - so what is the problem this year? Did they get cocky and just take their normal salaries way above the limit...

Re: Saracens are relegated!
Reading the report it is astonishing how comprehensive Sarries challenge was, despite Wray and the CEO admitting a cap was necessary. They were attempting to drive a coach, horses and the cavalry through the cap! Hard to see how it was not deliberate given their defence. "We believe in the cap but ...

Re: Saracens are relegated!
I'm done with the Saracens thing now. I'm. not desperate for more blood to be spilt. I'm just a bit perplexed. If Saracens aren't worthy of a disrepute charge. It begs the question what would a club would have to do in order to be worthy of a disrepute charge? Fart in a committee meeting. Wear the ...
