The thing I don't understand though, is how they are still over the cap this season? If it was only that large, apparently one off, purchase of one player's image rights that put them over - so what is the problem this year? Did they get cocky and just take their normal salaries way above the limit...

PRL have also issued a statement declaring no other club is over the cap and it is actually Saracens who are refusing to have the full ruling published... worse and worse and, well you get the picture

As it stands at the moment, yes, they have to be compliant with the cap for the 2 years directly before promoted

I think Sarries are in real trouble here, will the Wrays still be happy to bail them out when they are no-longer winners and playing in lower division? Its very tough on the fans.
