I took it that the big guy in training strip, watching, but not taking part in the warm-up before the Chiefs game was Dan Touhy. Good to see the new guy out there chatting with his potential second row partners.
BBC now reporting that we have signed Touhy from Bristol on loan until January.

Re: Haskell / Marler

I don't think anyone yet has commented on why it all kicked off in the first place. Marler is on his feet, Haskell on the floor. Then, although the camera angle is wrong, Haskell reacts. Clearly Marler has said something to provoke such a response from Haskell. Something which wasn't pleasant to Has...

Re: Mr Maxwell-keyes

I have been watching him ref since he was doing National 3 games, he was useless and aloof then and is no better now. How 1 team can concede 17 penalties and there be no yellow card is beyond belief. The decision not to look at the deliberate knock on by their winger was ridiculous, as clear a yell...

Re: Baths Defence

But it did!! I was talking about the season, not just the match! So am I! No you're not. English lesson - "But it did" is past tense. The season is future tense. Also if you look at the timing of my original post it was after the match was finished. I already knew the result so clearly I was referr...

Re: Saints Away

Worrying thing for me is - where is Gareth Owen? Not recognised as injured at the moment, signed as cover for centre, but not even in the 23!

Only Genge in England squad for Argentina, well done Ellis!

Quite an experimental squad with 15 uncapped players but lots of experience as well.

Big surprise for me - no Mike Williams!

Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out

I think this highlights the problem where you have a head coach and a director of rugby. I don't think you need both The DOR has to be more hands off than Cockers was or there is bound to be conflict over coaching strategy and team selection. The DOR should be more about selecting the coaching team...

Re: Matt O'Connor In...Mauger Out

My mind goes back to a conversation I had with two gentlemen sat in front of me at a match about TWO MONTHS (!) ago. Father and son who generally know what's going on and seem to have connections inside the club. They said O'connor was a done deal. I laughed and said what about the headhunters, they...
