Referee for next Sunday against Perpignan

Is another of the Irish - Peter Fitzgibbon!!!!

Personally I was hoping for someone who might know a little more about the dark art of scrummaging than Alan Lewis. From past experience Fitzgibbon knows even less. :smt022 :smt022

Re: Perpignan v Tigers

Don't often agree with you g but you are very right on the subject of Alex. He was pretty damn awful today. He didn't even seem to want to tackle, never alone effectively. Also agree with previous posts about Smurph and Chutes. There were so many stupid, silly mistakes today from well nigh everyone....

Re: Ryan Lamb - the poor mans Cipriani?

Bill, your reading matter just gets better and better. Do they feature cheerleaders as well?
I've just put my order in with the newsagent.

Re: RFU's warning to players

Rather strange that they should come out with this missive when Sale have just stated that they will have difficulty hanging on to Sheridan who is contemplating a move to (possibly) Toulon and certainly somewhere abroad. Good player though he might be, they wouldn't be that concerned about losing hi...

Notice he's on his way before his return visit to Welford Road (due for 5th March). Bet our stewards are relieved. :smt038

Re: Referee for Friday night against Hairyquins

Not another one!! Are you BJ's clone? Stop trying to embarass posters. We should be trying to encourage them not trying to make them feel small. :smt018 :smt018 In any case, in Hull what was written IS correct grammar. In the deep south of Gosport it might be something different. Sorry, is there any...

Re: Referee for Friday night against Hairyquins

Bill, his best may not be good enough as we have seen many times this season with others who are supposed to be amongst the best on the planet (the name Kaplan comes to mind)

Re: England v New Zealand

Tigermad,

Not sure why you should need your memory. All Blacks lost last saturday against the Aussies. Mind you I can't even remember what I did yesterday so I'm one to talk!!!!

According to the Tigers fixture list on the Tigers web-site (might expect them to know) Sky IS televising the match.

Changing dates for matches

I've just been away for three weeks in France. Before I left I purchased two tickets for the Quins match on the 20th November, surrendering my season ticket seat so that a friend and I (a Quins supporter for his sins) could sit together. Just arrived back home to find that b****y Sky have changed th...

Re: Dr Venter and Blackett

Thanks for that Bill. You are so right. Venter should have known better. A doctor should not have been involved in ANY behaviour of the sort he demonstrated that day. It'll be interesting to see to-morrow what action the club has taken to re-locate the visiting coaches etc. I'm in the Cat stand so p...

Dr Venter and Blackett

Interesting. From the Daily Mail today:- "HHJ Blackett has admitted he acted hastily in charging Saracens coach Brendan Venter last season with pushing a spectator at Leicester. Venter was banned for 10 weeks for 'provocative and inappropriate' gestures towards Leicester fans, but he was found not g...

Re: Sarries story rumbles on

According to the BBC web-site report on Borthwick's recall for the final, Venter says he will be at Twickenham. "I can't imagine them not letting me in the ground", he says. Has he not read Judge Blackett's judgement (para 35)? Quote - "For the avoidance of doubt this suspension also prevents him fr...
