Re: Matt Papali’i

MT is a great guy and a brilliant rugby player, who can blame him for wanting to play for his country?!

As for "leaving us in the lurch" with JF, what rubbish, blame the Tigers recruitment policy, it has been useless for a few years, hence our gradual demise.......

Good on ya Matt!!

Re: Autumn Internationals

Foul yes, dangerous no. IMHO of course. Referee said both players dropped the shoulder and I believe the pen was for offside? As for Cheika. What is the difference between him and the aircraft that brought him here? The aircraft stopped whining when it docked at the gate at Heathrow. I'm waiting fo...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3

As it appears that we don’t trust Hardwick at 10 then a better back up than Joe Ford is a must IMO, otherwise we pretty much write off the fixtures when George can’t play. As he's not yet 20 the coaches might feel they want more experience starting and to drip feed him in gently. We all disagree ob...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/article-6424877/Despite-playing-seven-games-jury-Elliot-Daly-back.html I have to agree, England will not win the 6Ns or the Wold Cup with Daly at FB. Bring back Brown for Dublin, unless Watson gets fit very quickly. .........I know they probably won't win...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

Let's hope that more Tigers' fans than recent games will come in through the turnstiles and back their team. Saracens are fielding a good team and if the weather's good, it could be an entertaining game. Saracens will surely start as favourites but Tigers are quite capable of upsetting the odds and...

Pocock ruled out.

Allegedly.

Apparently.

What's the betting his replacement will win MOTM? Could be a good silly bet, might risk £1 !!

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

On paper our front row should have them on toast with the rest of the pack pretty even. Sarries 9/10 seem to be of a higher standard than ours. Rest of backs about even. Both benches look weak. With our returnees it's a better match up than last week at Gloucester and you'd hope at home against Sar...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

Can't believe how strong that Sarries team is with all their players missing. They can afford to put a playmaker we would love to have playing at 10 on Sunday, (Lozowski) on the wing!!

We will be lucky to get within 10 points. Hope I'm wrong.

Re: Autumn Internationals

Hartley has been good for England since his return under EJ. His discipline has never been an issue for England.
His throwing is second to none. In the loose he is not in George's class.
It's horses for courses and hopefully Eddie has backed the right horse to start this race....!!

Holmes isn't in the Wales squad.
Good because we badly need him at 15 on Sunday!!

Don't see why May can't play two days running, needs to show more commitment!! :smt002

Confirmed Manu is on the bench.
wing and centre cover along with Farrerll
Manu is not a winger, EJ is taking a big risk with this selection.

Re: Tigers vs Saracens

I agree BFG, more than the coaches it's been player recruitment that's been the problem.

You only have to look at Sarries probable team for Sunday (taking into account all their missing players) and compare it to ours to see the difference, sadly.

Re: Autumn Internationals

Nowell done his hamstring in training!! So we are left with May, Daly and the big Bath winger in the back 3 but who will cover the back 3 on the bench? Reports this morning say Manu will be benched, along with Wrigglesworth and Ford presumably. I really don't see how we can cover wing or FB if one o...

Re: Autumn Internationals

Would like to see a back row of Hughes, Lawes and Underhill with Wilson and Shields on the bench. What's Wilson done - or not done - to be relegated to the bench? I'd play him at 8 alongside Lawes and Underhill and have Mercer on the bench. with Hughes to get more game time at his club. Alas, Merce...
