Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th April 2019

Well tigersteve and Robes, I too have been supporting Tigers for 40 years but have not "escaped" to France, preferring the odd sojourn over the channel, whilst remaining in the old County! Every time I see our team announced I think, that's not bad, should be good enough to win or get close.... But ...

Re: Catering & Bar Feedback Season 2017/18 & 2018/2019

The Speed bar in the old Captains Bar was the only one that pre poured pints and served the punters quickly. It's not rocket science to do the same in the main stadium bars, it's pretty obvious when the busy times occur!!!! As for training of the staff........it seems to be none existent, but in rea...

Re: Folau

Yes he is a plonker! It seems that all religious extremists are zealots of one form or another, no matter what religion they practice. With regard to the Tasmanian Parliament making it optional to register the sex of a child on a birth certificate however, I suspect he will not be the only one to be...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle - 12th March 2019

Regardless of so called ability/class, we should play the players that are up for the fight. The next few games will be about guts and desire, we have to rekindle the old Tigers spirit, if that means dropping some of the "stars" then so be it. I would hope that GM and MF between them will be well a...

Re: Toomua

If true maybe the abuse he received on twitter from moronic so called Tiger's fans played a part. Let's hope it's not true and I believe it would be out of character. I have commented on the social media thread re the abuse which is truly disgusting, I just hope they can identify the perpetrators, ...

Re: Club address social media abuse

Totally agree. I also don't use social media and think that keyboard abusers are the lowest of the low, just cowards and frankly pathetic. The Club will be fully justified to ban for life anyone that has been abusive to the players and particularly their families. I'm really glad I don't see this st...

Re: Guy Novès may be looking for a job!

Novès is a legend here in Toulouse having guided Stade Toulousain to French Champions on numerous occasions between 1993 and 2015 and four times European champions, so calling him a first rate coach is perfectly justified. However, the French XV has been at loggerheads with the club structure and t...

Kerr, Wells and Thompson have to come into the starting pack. All bring grit and determination that we’ll need against Newcastle.
"Grit and determination"......we need a bloomin' miracle!!!!!

Re: Musings re Tigers' current position

Healey virtually single handedly won us 2 European Cups, lest you forget !!!! And he was Johnnos best friend... I think you will find that Neil Back hand a big hand in winning the 2nd one :smt003 I think you will find that our team then was better in just about every position, and certainly in the ...

Re: Genge in the Telegraph

Even if I was rich I would be reluctant to send my kids to private school, no sense of reality. You do come out with some rubbish JP14, but at least with rugby perhaps you have some clue occasionally. But the above statement is such a ridiculous generalisation that it makes you look truly foolish.

Re: Tigers v Chiefs

Our team looks pretty good, but then I nearly always think that and usually we are awful! So here's hoping that MF has made a difference this week, wish I could be at the game, but have a prior commitment at a local sports club. Win today and we'll definitely stay up, lose badly and we will be in fo...

Re: Brian Moore Article Doom Monger..

Brian Moore does not like Leicester, he and the awful Ackford have always voiced their dislike of Tigers and any Tigers player our success irritated them beyond measure so now the Pitbull thinks we are down he is taking the opportunity to stick his boot in. Take no notice of him, I stopped reading ...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Entertaining game - do you remember the last time the Italians visited Twickenham?!

Having said that I reckon I England will thrash them, taking out the frustration of a sub par 2nd half performance v Wales.

Re: Tait Retires

Keep meaning to post on this thread.

Matt Tait a true Tigers great. Always gave 100%, incredibly versatile, never complained about terrible bad luck with injuries; he will be badly and sadly missed!!!

Good luck with your new career Matt, whatever that may be.
