Re: George North stood down from playing

Ellis9, I'm not certain who is responsible, but Mallinder and West could have looked at the two big screens, whilst JP was asking for replays, and I am sure than they would have seen it. I also think that they are provided with a live TV feed which definitely showed him to be still with his eyes clo...

Re: The Local Derby v Saints!

Sibarite, whilst I fully support the view that people should be able to 'colourfully' support their team, I draw the line at foul mouthed, loutish behaviour, which is not acceptable. On Saturday evening, whilst walking back to the car we, my daughters and my grandchildren, were followed by a group o...

Re: Seb Goold Day

We were on a coach returning from Bristol, following a rugby tour with Market Harborough RUFC U10s, when we heard about this awful accident.
I have signed the petition, and have now shared on Facebook.

Re: George Ford or Burns - threads merged

I was at a junior rugby game yesterday morning, and the coffee chat centred around Ford and Burns swapping clubs. I confess that I hadn't heard about a straight swap before, but it makes some sense, but I would be far happier for Burns to stay!

Re: The Local Derby v Saints!

In response to Saint Berni, before the game started, the fans waiting to get into the ground clapped several players in as they walked through. However, there was a group of Saints fans cheering them off the coach, who broke into song, which unfortunately included a fair amount of foul language. The...

Re: Kieran Brooke's red card

A side issue was seeing Deano smile - happening a little more often these days. He is building a team with real spirit!

Re: Manu Tuilagi

Good to see Manu back, and we must not push too hard, too soon. For me he should be no more than bench next week?

Re: Kieran Brooke's red card

The thing about the red card, was that it was pointless. The Falcons player was going nowhere.
Yet another stupid act of indiscipline by a Saints player. Do they think that it wont be seen?

Re: Calum Clark - Again!

In a physical game like rugby, there will always be confrontation, and sometimes violence, which may lead to retaliation. Unfortunately, Mr Clark's actions fit into another category, that of premeditation. Anyone who saw that violence at Worcester was sickened by his action. It didn't matter if you ...

Re: Allianz Park

I remember going down to watch them play Tigers at Enfield FC. It was very early season, and the Tigers fans outnumbered the home fans. It was the same when we went to Wasps at Sudbury where the Rugby Special Team even outnumbered them. Only Harlequins have managed to build a substantial fan base, s...

Re: Tigers v Glasgow

That was Munster of old. At Thomond Park they are still one of the hardest sides to beat in Europe. I think the red card hardened their resolve, and worked against Glasgow.

Have to agree about his behaviour, as Glasgow had done nothing wrong. Maybe he was too pumped up, with the emotion of the week.

Have just watched the tackle several times, and I think Sir has got it right. There are fine margins in these situations, but I believe Barnes was right when he said it was a dangerous tackle, and the outcome was not so relevant in this case.
