Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope
I worry where we are heading, I don't want us to become a Saracens clone type team, I would rather us never get back to the top than resort to their methods on & off the pitch. This could be the thin end of the wedge. Just because we sign one ex sarries player you are worried we will become a clone

Gamesmanship shenanigans
Is anyone else finding it increasingly annoying with the constant gamesmanship in the game with things like patting the opponents on the head, whooping when you win a penalty or even just when you just win a scrum put in. This needs to be stamped out of the game and in my view the referee needs to s...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Gatland will still pick loads of Welsh players, when on current form, only one or two are even close to being good enough and the Irish didn't put their hands up really either. More Scots than English going on yesterdays performances, England's pack were poor in the scrums yesterday, Farrells kicki...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Interesting that only Dokie has actually offered an appraisal of AWJ's game, while all the criticism is vague and meaningless. So far the criticisms of AWJ seem to be: He only got lots of Wales caps because Wales haven't produced any other good locks. That isn't even a criticism of AWJ. Ian Evans w...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Where to start! AWJ - top performing British lock for the best part of a decade. Along with Retallick, the best pairing in the world for much of that time too. Up there with Johnno as a leader of men and an influencer of referees. Rarely makes errors or wrong decisions, top of his trade in set piec...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
The Boks kick a lot, you want a FB secure under the high ball, Williams is the best....when fit, he has to be in the back 3 with May, to me that makes it Watson v Hogg for the 3rd position, I wouldn't discount Halfpenny either, he seems to be slowly absorbing the Scarlets style. As for AWJ, would o...

Re: Who’s your pick for Lions 2021
Re the quote about Alan Wyn Jones being the most over rated rugby player on the planet. You don’t get 100 plus international caps if your not a superb player who is rated by some of the top coaches in the world. Not saying he wasn’t a very good player at one time but surely there are now better and...

Re: Ford out of England Squad
Eddie Jones must be the only person in the country who thinks Jacob Umaga is a better pick than Joe Simmonds. Sport is all about opinions. There are some on here who think Thacker is an international class hooker and that Castro would make a good scrum coach despite having no coaching pedigree :smt...

Can’t see any of the rebels getting a very warm welcome if they return to Welford road with another team after this debacle.

Re: Premiership Final hit by Covid!
Is it bad I want Wasps to win? So do I as would sooner see a side that plays exciting rugby than a kick to the corner side It seems to me that Exeter have stolen our clothes from the Johnson era. Play a very similar game, deadly catch and drive etc., albeit without a jackal. I can't dislike them fo...

Re: George Ford
I ruptured my Achilles’ tendon a few years ago and if you manage the rehab correctly there should be no long term problem. George does not have a tear as far as I am aware so providing the tigers medical team look after him and he does not overtrain he should be ok
