Re: Gallagher Premiership Round 6

Tackling a players knees is highly dangerous and potentially career ending and should be penalised with a red card

When you compare any of the current first choice locks' carry and tackle rate with Kitchener's over the past two years, there has been a massive improvement.
Defo and I think that Martin and Henderson are ones to watch

Agree that sometimes Kalamafoni was the only forward who seemed to be putting the effort in. Although he made a lot of carries they were often only a metre or two as he had little or no support.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Jonah Holmes the big one for me. Loved what he brought to the team, real electric pace. Potter is quick and a work in progress, Van Wyk you feel is pretty savy and streetwise (ignoring the 'slap' Vs Irish) and brings a physicality, but don't see him skinning his opposite number on the outside! Woul...

I'll only consider Wiese an improvement on Kalamafoni if Wiese puts in consistently good performances every single game.
Wiese has already shown in the few games that he has played that he is a massive improvement on Kalamafoni in almost every aspect of performance all in my opinion of course.

Faletau is a fantastic player, he does a lot of unseen work & has fantastic hands, he would be my Lions No8.
We will just have to agree to disagree then 👍

Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath

Having watched us and now Wasps beating Bath, I was left wondering about the player so many rave about, Sam Underhill. Don’t get me wrong, he is a fantastic player, but when the opposition have a big back row , he seems less effective. Arguably we saw this in the 6N against France and to an extent ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

It's amazing that not very long ago Worth and Olowofela were 2nd choice in their positions. Our strength in the back 3 is so much better than a year ago, without any other area of the team being sacrificed. We must have been seriously overpaying some players in recent years... Not surprising consid...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Back 3, we're fine unless we lose players but with Steward, Nadolo, Van Wyk, Murimurivalu, Porter, Potter, Williams, Simmons, Aspland Robinson, Worth & Olowafela we don't need more atm. It's amazing that not very long ago Worth and Olowofela were 2nd choice in their positions. Our strength in the b...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Rumour is that Montoya is a done deal so don’t need another hooker. With Lavinini, Green and Wells with Martin and Henderson coming through not badly off for locks either. Would use any cap to give improved terms to Steward, Martin and Portlivet and perhaps look to sign a big centre like Lawrence.

Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath

I agree we seem to be making progress and I'm feeling positive about the future. However.... We did also beat Gloucester at home last season, came much closer to upsetting Exeter at home and also lost to Irish away. The last time we played Bath at home before Borthwick we lost 31-32, so that is a s...
