Re: Pre-season friendly - Nottingham - 1st September 2023 KO: 7:30pm
Ian Cant memory is failing him . In his first season Borthwick took us to six in the table in which he picked a strong team for home games and used away games to experiment by introducing a number of academy players giving them valuable experience . Without this rotation many of the players who we n...

Re: Pre-season friendly - Nottingham - 1st September 2023 KO: 7:30pm
Disagree entirely. Thought Powell was very good and one of the standout players. Quick to the breakdown and got the ball away. Edwards did more box kicking and Meerkating and has no chance of first team appearance on that form.

Re: Pre-season friendly - Nottingham - 1st September 2023 KO: 7:30pm
I thought Powell, Bassett and all of the first half starters were good, too many penalties both halves but it looked as though we have changed our tactics somewhat. Kicked less, kicked straight out from inside 22 our 22 instead of keeping ball in play by kicking it back to opposition, looked like t...

Thought the scrum half looked very promising. Quick to the breakdown and a good pass.

Re: Rugby World Cup warm up games
I know I'm in the minority on here but I don't feel any anger over it. Tigers got a big pay out for SB and KS at a time when Prem clubs are desperate for money. The others contracts were up. It's tough losing 5 coaches at once but I don't really see any malfeasance there. When rumours around Watson...

There is no way that they will sack him that quick otherwise they will look even more stupid than they already do.

Re: Rugby World Cup warm up games
If an international Rugby player doesn’t know how to tackle it’s not the coaches fault. His job is to make sure alignment is right and decide what type of defence is utilised I.e drift, rush etc. If an individual continually misses one on one tackles he shouldn’t be selected. End of.

Re: Time for change
This situation lays entirely at the door of the RFU. They should have kept Eddie on until after the World Cup and appointed a new coach after that who could have started afresh with a new young group of players. Unfortunately they are only interested in money and have not got any long term plan. Onc...

Re: Freddie Steward @ 12
Think folk are being very harsh tbh! FB is still a very specialised position, see Henshaw or Huw Jones for reference. World class players with some shocking performances at 15! Having Daly next to you doesn't help either,Freddie is still young and learning. Mike Brown or Rob Kearney wernt blessed w...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work
If Watson hasn't signed a contract yet, he is now nicely up the creek. If he hasn’t signed anything, anywhere, I’d say deservingly so. A bit harsh. He has every right to get the best deal possible for him and his family.Would like to keep him but not at any cost as we may be able to get a World Cup...

Re: Rugby World Cup warm up games
If he’s contracted to RFU they would insure him and pay for rehab.

https://www.therugbypaper.co.uk/all/domestic-club-rugby-union/france-rugby-top-14/380741/decision-time-for-sutherland/ Unfortunately this is behind a paywall so I can't see if there's any hints as to whether we are the destination of choice I have the Rugby paper and it says the offers for him have...
