Tigers must make every effort to keep May at Tigers
:smt023 +1 Agreed.

Just look at what he brings. Proven finisher with a great strike rate. High work rate. Superb under the high ball. Great defender.

Re: Tigers vs Bristol - 04th January 2020

I do wonder what happens at half time... I noticed Bristol were cheating right through the second half, they had 15 men on the pitch the whole time but despite that Tigers managed to sneak a win near the end. However apart from that Tigers were woeful, they need to change the supplier for the half ...

Spot on Traveller.

Maybe the Daily Mail will follow your suggestion and investigate further as they featured this story in the first place.

Re: Tigers vs Bristol - 04th January 2020

No need to play Wells at 6 when Guy Thompson is available. What about Kalamafoni also? I'm assuming that no mention of him in the injury update means he could be available.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Great start to the New Year with equally good news to come if other posters are right and I see no reason to doubt them. Whatever we on here may think about the coaching set up, Geordan has clearly convinced Ellis and others that it's worth staying at Tigers and creating their own history. Long may ...

During the offseason Tigers must practise lineouts till the cows come home.
As do all teams but different when it comes to a match scenario.
I don't believe we have had a real "lineout guru" since the departure of Geoff Parling and therein lies the problem.

We might have a chance if the game is correctly officiated.
And do we know which esteemed gentleman of the refereeing fraternity is officiating?

Re: Matias Alemanno

On Alemanno - a 61 cap international who's 28 i.e. in his prime, what's not to like? Imagine combining him with his mate Tomas? That would be some 2nd row. If Gloucester and Sale can pack their squads with South Africans then why not Tigers with Argentinians? On George Ford - £600k to keep England's...

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)

We have now had 7 pages of speculation on what remains an unconfirmed rumour. How about this for a scenario. Two Tigers employees walking around having a friendly chat. Person with press contacts happens to be passing by not really paying attention. 1st Tigers employee: "Where was that you said?" 2n...

Re: Calvisano v Tigers - return fixture next week

Good mixture of youth and experience plus some returnees will get game time. I'll be interested to see how well Joe Thomas performs. Nice mobile back row that should win turnovers and a powerful pairing at lock. Decent bench as well. Also interested in how Johnny McPhillips performs. I think this is...

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)

I just see Aston Villa and Lerner when looking at our current plight. Bumbling along until we are sold or relegated or both! You can’t compare Aston Villa to Leicester Tigers. Can absolutely compare the situations though! I agree with Tiger Boy no comparison whatsoever. Aston Villa are a failing We...
